¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁴ And if any man obey not our word (o. logos) by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁷ Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word (o. logos) and doctrine.

¹⁸ Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the perverse. ¹⁹ For this deserves giving of thanks, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. ²⁰ For what glory is it, if, when all of you be buffeted for your faults, all of you shall take it patiently? but if, when all of you do well, and suffer for it, all of you take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

¹⁹ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

¹⁷ Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, (o. logos) that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is useless for you.

⁹ Whosoever trangresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son.

²⁹ Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

¹ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
