Matthew 6:19-21

19 Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up treasures for yourselves in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Romans 13:8-10

8 Owe nothing to any one except brotherly love; for he who loves his fellow men has satisfied the Law. 9 The commandments, 'Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet,' and whatever other commandment there is, are all summed up in the words--'Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thou dost thyself.' 10 Love never wrongs a neighbor. Therefore Love fully satisfies the Law.

1 Timothy 6:10

10 Love of money is a source of all kinds of evil; and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the Faith, and have been pierced to the heart by many a regret.

Luke 12:15

15 And then he added: "Take care to keep yourselves free from every form of covetousness; for even in the height of his prosperity a man's true Life does not depend on what he has."
