Mark 12:18-27

18 Then came to him the Sadducees, who say there is no revival of the dead. And they asked him, saying, 19 Teacher, Moses hath written for us, that if any one's brother die, and leave a wife without leaving children, his brother should take his wife and raise up a seed for his brother. 20 Now there were seven brothers, and the first took a wife, and died without leaving issue. 21 Then the second took her, and died, and he left no issue. And the same was the case with the third. 22 Indeed the seven married her, but left no issue. Last of all, the woman also died. 23 At the revival of the dead, therefore, when they rise again, whose wife will she be? for she hath been wife to the seven. 24 In reply to which, Jesus said to them, Are you not led into error because of your not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God? 25 For when the dead rise again, they neither marry nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels in heaven. 26 Now with respect to the dead, that they are raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, how God spake in the bush to him, saying, "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaak, and the God of Jacob. 27 He is not the God of the dead; but the God of the living. You are therefore led much astray.
