Bible verses about "horse" | Thomson

Revelation 19:11-21

11 Then I saw the heaven opened and behold a white horse I and he who was mounted on him was called; Faithful And True, and with righteousness he judgeth and maketh war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire; and on his head are many crowns and he hath a name written which no one but himself knoweth; 13 and he was clothed with a mantle dipped in blood; and his name is The Word or God. 14 And the armies in heaven clad in cotton robes white and clean followed him on white horses. 15 And out of his mouth issueth a sharp sword that with it he may smite the nations. And he himself tendeth them with an iron crook; and he himself treadeth the press of the venemous and raging wine of God Almighty. 16 And he hath on his mantle and on his thigh this name written King Of Kings And Lord Of Lords. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun and he cried with a loud voice to all the birds which fly in mid-heaven saying, Come and gather yourselves together to the supper of the great God; 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of generals, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them mounted on them and the flesh of all both freemen and slaves, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to come to a battle with him who was mounted on the horse and with his army. 20 And the beast was taken and with him the false prophet who did these signs before him by which he led astray them who had received the mark of the beast, and them who worshipped his image. Both these were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone; 21 and the rest were slain with the sword of him who was mounted on the horse; with that which issueth out of his mouth; and all the birds were glutted with their flesh.

Proverbs 21:31

31 A horse is provided for the day of battle: but help cometh from the Lord.

Job 39:19-25

19 Hast thou invested the horse with strength, and clothed his neck with terror? 20 When thou arrayedst him with armour didst thou inspire his dauntless breast with courage? 21 Pawing in the plain he swelleth with pride, and rusheth impetuous to the field. 22 Meeting a king he meeteth him with scorn, and turneth not back for fear of the sword. 23 On him the bow and the sword swell with pride; and his rage will cause the ground to vanish, 24 nor will he believe till the trumpet sounds: 25 but at the sound of the trumpet he saith, Aha, and snuffeth the battle from afar, with a bound and neighing.

Ezekiel 23:20

20 and though connected with the Chaldeans, men of beastly lust,
