Bible verses about "remarrying" | Sawyer

Matthew 19:3-9

3 And the Pharisees came to him to try him, and said, Is it lawful [for a man] to put away his wife for every cause? 4 And he answered and said, Have you not read that the Creator at the beginning made them male and female? 5 and he said, On this account shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh. 6 So that they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has yoked together, let not man separate. 7 (17:2) They said to him, Why then did Moses command us to give a bill of divorcement, and put her away? 8 He said to them, Moses, on account of your hardness of heart, allowed you to put away your wives; but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I tell you, that whoever puts away his wife, except for adultery, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her that is put away, commits adultery.

Luke 16:18

18 Every one that puts away his wife and marries another, commits adultery; and he that marries a woman put away from a husband, commits adultery.

Matthew 19:9

9 And I tell you, that whoever puts away his wife, except for adultery, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her that is put away, commits adultery.

1 Corinthians 7:15

15 But if the unbelieving companion departs, let him depart; the brother or the sister is not bound in such cases; but God has called us to peace.
