Mark 12:41-44

41 (11:14) And sitting opposite to the treasury, he observed how the multitude cast copper into the treasury. And many rich men cast in much; 42 and one poor widow came and cast in two lepta, which is a quadrans [4 mills]. 43 And calling his disciples, he said to them, I tell you truly, that this poor widow has cast in more than all who have cast into the treasury. 44 For all [others] have cast in of their abundance; but she of her want has cast in all that she had her entire living.

Luke 12:33-34

33 Sell your property and bestow charity; make yourselves purses that become not old, and a treasury that fails not, in heaven, where no thief approaches, nor moth destroys; 34 for where your treasury is, there will your heart be also.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

17 (2:14) Charge the rich in the present life not to be high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God who gives us all things richly to enjoy, 18 to perform good works, to be rich in good works, to be liberal, benevolent, 19 treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold on the true life.

Luke 6:38

38 give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure you measure it shall be measured back to you.

Acts 20:35

35 I have showed you all things, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

2 Corinthians 9:6-15

6 (2:5) And [consider] this, He that sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he that sows liberally shall reap also liberally. 7 Let each one contribute as he chooses in his heart, not with regret or from necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make every favor abound to you, that having always every sufficiency in every thing you may abound in every good work; 9 as it is written, He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, his righteousness continues forever. 10 And may he that supplies seed to the sower and bread for eating multiply your grain, and increase the products of your righteousness; 11 that you may be enriched in every thing for all liberality, which produces through us thanksgiving to God. 12 For the performance of this service not only supplies the need of the saints, but also abounds with the thanksgivings of many to God; 13 [they] glorifying God on account of the proof of this ministry for your professed subjection to the gospel of Christ and the liberality of the contribution to them and to all, 14 and by their prayer for you, greatly longing for you on account of the abounding grace of God upon you. 15 Thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift.
