26 (23:4) And as they were eating Jesus took the bread, and having blessed, broke and gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

John 6:55-59

55 For my flesh is the true food, and my blood is the true drink. 56 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood continues in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me and I live by the Father, so he that eats me shall live by me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven; not as your fathers eat and died, he that eats this bread shall live forever. 59 These things he said in a synagogue, teaching in Capernaum.

1 Corinthians 10:17

17 For we, being many, are one bread, one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

Matthew 4:4

4 And he answered and said; It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word which proceeds from the mouth of God.

John 6:50-71

50 this is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he shall live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. 52 (9:6) Then the Jews contended one with another, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said to them, I tell you most truly, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 60 (9:7) Then many of his disciples hearing him said, This is a hard saying; who can hear him? 61 And Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples complained of this, said to them, Does this offend you? 62 [What], then if you should see the Son of man ascend where he was formerly? 63 The Spirit is that which makes alive; the flesh profits nothing; the words which I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who he was that would betray him. 65 And on that account he said, I told you that no one can come to me unless it has been given him by my Father. 66 (9:8) From this time many of his disciples went away from following him, and walked no more with him. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve Will you also go away? 68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed and know that you are the Holy [Son] of God. 70 He answered them, Have I not chosen you twelve? and of you one is a devil. 71 But he spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he was about to betray him, being one of the twelve.

John 6:32-35

32 Then Jesus said to them, I tell you most truly, Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven; 33 for the bread of God is he that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. 34 (9:3) Then they said to him, Sir, always give us this bread. 35 Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes in me shall never thirst.
