⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

¹² Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

⁹ Every one who goes forward and does not remain in the teaching of Christ is without God. ⁸ Jesus Christ is yesterday and to-day the same — yes, and through the ages. ⁹ Do not be carried away with all sorts of foreign teachings. It is well to have the heart strengthened by grace, not by special kinds of food. Those who live in that way are not profited.

¹ THE Spirit says distinctly that in later times some will desert from the faith, giving attention to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons,

⁸ To conclude, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is dignified, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovable, whatever is highly spoken of — if there is any virtue or any praise — think of that.

¹⁶ Do you not know that you are God's temple and the Spirit of God dwells in you?

²¹ Test all things; hold fast the good. ²² Avoid every kind of evil.

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, "Begone, Satan, for it is written, 'To the Lord thy God alone shalt thou do homage, and him alone shalt thou serve.' "

⁷ But avoid profane and old-womanish myths. Exercise yourself in godliness. ⁸ Bodily exercise is useful to a small degree, but godliness is useful for everything. "It has the promise of the present life and of the life that is to come."
