Matthew 25:31-46

31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne 32 and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will divide them one from another as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats. 33 He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. 34 Then will the King say to those on his right hand, 'Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world! 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; 36 naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you cared for me. I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then will the righteous answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?' 40 The King will answer, 'I tell you truly, inasmuch as you did it to one of these my brothers — even the least — you did it to me.' 41 Then he will say to those on his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the fire eternal prepared for the Devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food; I was thirsty and you gave me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take me in; naked and you did not clothe me; sick and in prison and you did not care for me.' 44 Then they too will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not serve you?' 45 He will answer them, 'I tell you truly inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these least, you did not do it to me.' 46 These will go away into punishment eternal, but the righteous into life eternal."

James 2:1-4

1 MY brethren, do not hold the faith of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with partiality for persons. 2 For if there comes into your assembly a man with gold rings and in fine clothes, and there comes in a poor man in soiled clothes, 3 and you look up to the man who is wearing the fine clothes and say, "Take this good seat," and say to the poor man, "Stand there," or "Sit under my footstool," 4 are you not making distinctions in your own minds and have you not become judges with wicked thoughts?
