Bible verses about "transformation" | Riverside

Matthew 5:16

16 So let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Romans 12:1

1 I BEG you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, pleasing to God — your rational worship.

Ephesians 4:29

29 Let no vile word come out of your mouth, but, if anything, a good word for needed upbuilding of character to give grace to those who hear.

Galatians 5:19-26

19 The works of the flesh are obvious, such as unchastity, impurity, indecency, 20 idolatry, magic, hatred, strife, jealousy, anger, rivalries, dissensions, factions, 21 envyings, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like. Of these I tell you beforehand, as I have already told you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, slowness to anger, kindness, benevolence, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its emotions and passions. 25 If we are living in the Spirit let us direct our lives by the Spirit. 26 Let us not be vainglorious, irritating one another, envying one another.

Philippians 1:6

6 being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun the good work in you will carry it on to completion on the day of Christ Jesus.

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness:

1 John 3:2-3

2 Beloved, we are now children of God and it is not yet plain what we shall be. But we know that if he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every one who has this hope set upon Christ purifies himself just as Christ is pure.

Acts 1:18

18 (This man bought a piece of land with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst asunder and all his entrails were poured out.

Romans 5:1-21

1 SO then, since we have been accounted righteous by faith, let us have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we obtained entrance into this grace in which we stand and exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also exult in trials, knowing that trial develops endurance, 4 and endurance develops a tested character, and a tested character develops hope, 5 and hope does not disappoint, for the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit granted to us. 6 For while we were still without strength Christ, at the due time, died for the unrighteous. 7 Hardly for a righteous man will any one die. For a good man some one perhaps may dare to die. 8 But God shows his own love to us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, now that we have been pronounced righteous through his blood, shall we be saved from wrath by him. 10 For if while enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now obtained the reconciliation. 12 Therefore as through one man sin entered the world, and through sin death entered, and so death spread to all men, since all sinned — 13 for down to the time of the Law sin was in the world, and yet sin is not charged where there is no law; 14 but death reigned from Adam to Moses even over those who had not sinned like Adam, who is the type of him who was coming. 15 But the gracious gift is not like the fall. For if by the fall of the one the many sinned, much more did the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ abound to the many. 16 And the free gift was not like the sentence that came through one who sinned; for the sentence came from one fall for condemnation, but the free gift was that men should be called righteous in spite of many falls. 17 For if by the fall of one man death reigned through that one, much more those who receive the abounding grace and the free gift of righteousness will reign in life through one, that is, through Jesus Christ. 18 As then through one fall sentence came upon all men and they were condemned; so through one righteous act the free gift came to all men so that they are pronounced righteous and live. 19 For as by the disobedience of the one man the many were set down as sinners, so by the obedience of the one the many will be set down as righteous. 20 But law came in alongside that the fall might be greater; but where sin became greater grace became greater still, 21 in order that as sin reigned in death grace might reign through righteousness and issue in life eternal through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ. I am living, yet no longer I, but Christ is living in me. The life that I am now living in flesh I am living by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

2 Corinthians 3:18

18 And we all, with unveiled face, reflecting the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same likeness from glory to glory as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 So if any one is in Christ he is a new creature. The old things have passed away, they have become new.

Romans 12:2

2 Do not follow the fashions of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your minds so as to recognize what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
