Bible verses about "salvation" | Riverside

John 15:1-27

1 "I AM the true Vine and my Father is the Vine-grower. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every one that bears fruit he cleanses, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean through the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me. 5 I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him — he bears much fruit; but without me you cannot do anything. 6 If any one does not abide in me, he is cast out like a branch and withers, and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they are burned. 7 If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what you will and it will be done for you. 8 By this is my Father glorified — by your bearing much fruit and becoming my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you; abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will abide in my love as I have kept my Father's commands and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you and your joy may be made complete. 12 This is my command — to love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 I no longer call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I call you friends, for all that I have heard from the Father I have made known to you. 16 It was not you who chose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. 17 These things I am commanding you that you may love one another. 18 "If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world the world would love its own. But you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world. For this reason the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, 'The servant is not superior to his Master.' If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you because of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them works which no other did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and have hated both me and my Father. 25 But in order that the saying written in their Law may be fulfilled, 'They hated me without a cause.' 26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father — the Spirit of Truth who goes forth from the Father — he will witness concerning me. 27 And you are witnesses because you have been with me from the beginning."

John 3:16-18

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that every one who believes in him may not perish, but have life eternal. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not condemned. He who does not believe has been already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

John 3:17-21

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not condemned. He who does not believe has been already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 This is the condemnation, that Light has come into the world and men have loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were wicked. 20 Every one who is doing base things hates the Light and does not come to the Light, that his deeds may not be reproved. 21 But he who is doing the truth comes to the Light, that it may be plainly shown that his deeds have been done in union with God.

Acts 16:30-33

30 and led them out and said, "Men, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, and your household," 32 and they told the message of God to him and to all who were in his house. 33 He took them at that hour of the night and washed their stripes. Then he was baptized, he and all of his household, immediately.

28 Therefore be it known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles. They will listen."

14 For sin shall not be king over you; for you are not under law, but under grace.

21 "Not every one who says to me, 'Master, Master,' will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

John 14:6

6 Jesus said to him, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
