³⁴ But I tell you not to swear at all; neither by heaven, because it is God's throne; ³⁵ nor by the earth, because it is his footstool; nor by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the Great King; ³⁶ nor must you swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. ³⁷ But let your yes be yes and your no be no. Whatever is more than these is from evil.

³ All things came into being through him, and apart from him not one thing came into being that has come into being.

⁶ I am astonished that you are so quickly changing over from him who called you by the grace of Christ to a different kind of good news, ⁷ though it is not another good news. But there are some who are perplexing you and wishing to pervert the good news of Christ. ⁸ But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should bring you any good news different from what we did bring you, let him be accursed! ⁹ As I said before, I say now again, if any one brings you good news different from what you have received, let him be accursed!

¹ BELOVED, do not trust every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are from God. For many false prophets have come out into the world.

³ and no spirit that does not confess Jesus is from God. This is the spirit of Antichrist, which you have heard is coming into the world and is already in the world.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
