¹⁰ Let each, as he has received a spiritual gift, serve the others in that way, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness:

¹⁰ "Two men went up to the Temple courts to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector. ¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank thee that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, cheats, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all I get.' ¹³ But the tax collector stood far off and would not even lift his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God be merciful to me, the sinner!' ¹⁴ I tell you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For every one who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

⁴ There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are varieties of service, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are varieties of products, but the same God who produces all things in all. ⁷ To each one is given some manifestation of the Spirit for what is profitable. ⁸ To one are given, through the Spirit, words of wisdom, to another words of knowledge by the same Spirit, ⁹ to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ to another works of power, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another varieties of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ One and the same Spirit produces all of these gifts, distributing to each one individually as he will.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ. I am living, yet no longer I, but Christ is living in me. The life that I am now living in flesh I am living by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

¹³ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit!

²³ Whatever you do, do it heartily as for the Lord and not for men,

²⁰ To him who is able to do far beyond all we ask or think by the power that works in us,

⁷ For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control.

¹³ I can do all things through him who gives me strength.
