Mark 10:46-52

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many commanded him to hold his peace: but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying to him, Take courage, arise; he calls you. 50 And he cast away his cloak, arose, and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, What do you want that I should do for you? The blind man said to him, Master, I want to receive my sight. 52 And Jesus said to him, Go your way; your faith has made you well. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus along the way.

John 4:1-30

1 Therefore, when the Lord learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 (Though Jesus himself did not baptize, but his disciples,) 3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And he had to go through Samaria. 5 Then he came to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus, therefore, being wearied from his journey, sat by the well: and it was about the sixth hour. 7 There came a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus said to her, Give me a drink. 8 (For his disciples had gone away to the city to buy food.) 9 Then the woman of Samaria said to him, How is it that you, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, Give me a drink; you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water. 11 The woman said to him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where do you get that living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into eternal life. 15 The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw. 16 Jesus said to her, Go, call your husband, and come here. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said to her, You have well said, I have no husband: 18 For you have had five husbands; and he whom you now have is not your husband: in that you spoke truly. 19 The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain; but you say that Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes when you shall worship the Father neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem. 22 You do not know what you worship: we know what we worship: for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. 24 God is Spirit: and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman said to him, I know that Messiah comes, who is called Christ: when he comes, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus said to her, I who speak to you am he. 27 And at this moment his disciples came, and marvelled that he was speaking with a woman: yet no one said, What do you seek? or, Why are you talking with her? 28 Then the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city, and said to the people, 29 Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did: is this not the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came to him.
