At the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow:
And for fear of him the guards shook, and became as dead men.
And the angel said to the women, Fear not: for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified.
He is not here: for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead; and, behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you shall see him: lo, I have told you.
And they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy; and ran to bring his disciples word.
And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, Hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
Then Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid: go tell my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.
Now when they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city, and told the chief priests all the things that had happened.
And when they had assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave much money to the soldiers,
Saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him, and keep you out of trouble.
So they took the money, and did as they were told: and this story is commonly reported among the Jews to this day.
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to a mountain where Jesus had directed them.
And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:
Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Because you will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see decay.
You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your presence.
Brethren, let me say confidently to you of the patriarch David; that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day.
Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath that he would seat one of his descendants upon his throne;
He foresaw this and spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in Hades, neither did his flesh see corruption.
This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.
Therefore, being exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured forth this, which you now see and hear.
For David did not ascend into the heavens: but he himself says, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit on my right hand,
Until I make your foes a footstool for your feet.
Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.
