Bible verses about "priorities" | RKJNT

Mark 8:36-37

36 For what does it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

John 14:15

15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Luke 10:38-42

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his words. 40 But Martha was distracted by many tasks, and came to him, and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? then tell her to help me. 41 And Jesus answered her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things: 42 But only one thing is necessary: and Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Luke 12:22-34

22 And he said to his disciples, Therefore I say to you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat; or for the body, what you shall put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storehouse or barn; yet God feeds them: how much more valuable are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature? 26 If you then are not able to do such a small thing, why are you anxious about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they do not toil or spin; and yet I say to you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothes the grass, which is in the field today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith? 29 And do not seek what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, and do not be of an anxious mind. 30 For the nations of the world seek after all these things: and your Father knows that you have need of them. 31 But rather seek the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added to you. 32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have, and give alms; provide yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in heaven that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

1 Timothy 3:5

5 (For if a man does not know how to manage his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Luke 12:34

34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Romans 12:2

2 And do not be conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect.

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.
