19 The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped on this mountain; but you say that Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes when you shall worship the Father neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem. 22 You do not know what you worship: we know what we worship: for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. 24 God is Spirit: and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Bible verses about "loving god more than the world" | RKJNT
21 He who has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is who loves me: and he who loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me my part of the estate. So he divided his property between them. 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered everything together, and took a journey into a far country, and there wasted his estate with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent everything, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and hired himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods the swine were eating: but no man gave him anything. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, 19 And am no longer worthy to be called your son: treat me as one of your hired servants. 20 And he arose, and went to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet: 23 And bring the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this son of mine was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, Your brother has come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him back safe and sound. 28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore his father came out, and pleaded with him. 29 And he answered his father, Lo, these many years I have served you and never disobeyed your commandment: and yet you never gave me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 But as soon as this son of yours comes home, who has devoured your estate with prostitutes, you kill for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said to him, Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32 But we had to make merry, and be glad: for this brother of yours was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship.
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the springs of water.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, despisers of good, 4 Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God; 5 Holding to a form of godliness, but denying its power. From such men turn away.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. 5 Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 Behold, how great is the love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God; and so we are. The world does not know us, because it did not know him.
31 Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, along with its lusts: but he who does the will of God abides forever.
46 And why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do the things which I say?
37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
27 And he answered, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself.
