²⁴ Therefore God gave them up, through the lusts of their own hearts, to sexual impurity, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves: ²⁵ Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. ²⁶ For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women exchanged natural relations for that which is against nature: ²⁷ And likewise the men, leaving their natural relations with woman, burned in their lust toward one another; men with men doing that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

¹ Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you pass judgement: for when you pass judgement on another, you condemn yourself; for you who pass judgement do the same things. ² But we are sure that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who do such things. ³ And do you think, O man, that when you pass judgement on those who do such things, yet do the same yourself, that you shall escape the judgment of God? ⁴ Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience; not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? ⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart you are storing up for yourself wrath on the day of wrath when the righteous judgment of God shall be revealed; ⁶ Who will render to every man according to his deeds: ⁷ To those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: ⁸ But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. ⁹ There shall be tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who does evil, first for the Jew, and also for the Greek; ¹⁰ But glory, honour, and peace for every man who does good works, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek: ¹¹ For there is no partiality with God. ¹² For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; ¹³ (For it is not the hearers of the law who are justified before God, but it is the doers of the law who shall be justified. ¹⁴ For when the Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, though not having the law, are a law to themselves. ¹⁵ They show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or perhaps defending them.) ¹⁶ On that day God shall judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, as my gospel proclaims. ¹⁷ Behold, if you call yourself a Jew, and rely upon the law, and boast of your relationship with God, ¹⁸ And know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law; ¹⁹ And are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light for those who are in darkness, ²⁰ An instructor for the foolish, a teacher of infants, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth in the law: ²¹ You, therefore, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? you who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? ²² You who say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you who abhor idols, do you rob temples? ²³ You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonour God by breaking the law? ²⁴ For as it is written, The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you. ²⁵ For circumcision is truly of value, if you keep the law: but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has becomes uncircumcision. ²⁶ Therefore, if the uncircumcised keeps the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision? ²⁷ And shall not the physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the law, judge you, who, though you have the letter of the law and circumcision, are transgressors of the law? ²⁸ For he is not a Jew, who is one outwardly; neither is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh: ²⁹ But he is a Jew, who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, by the spirit, and not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

⁷ For I wish that all men were as I am. But every man has his proper gift from God, one of this type, and another of that. ⁸ Therefore I say to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them to remain single, as I am. ⁹ But if they cannot contain themselves, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

¹² There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: but who are you to judge your neighbour?

⁹ Understanding this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, ¹⁰ For adulterers, for those who defile themselves with men, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine;

³⁹ And the second is like it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.

⁸ But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

⁸ Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he who loves others has fulfilled the law. ⁹ For the commandments, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet; and any other commandments, are summed up in this saying, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. ¹⁰ Love does no wrong to a neighbour: therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

⁷ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, which gave themselves over in a similar manner to sexual immorality, and to going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example of suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

⁴ Marriage is to be held in honour by all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled: for the sexually immoral and adulterers God will judge.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
