Bible verses about "fruitfulness" | RKJNT

John 15:16

16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you to go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: so that whatever you shall ask from the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

John 15:8

8 By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so prove to be my disciples.

Philippians 1:6

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:5-9

5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

James 2:14-26

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if a man say he has faith, but has not works? can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you says to him, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; yet you do not give him the things which are necessary for the body; of what benefit is that? 17 Even so faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being alone. 18 But a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils believe also, and tremble. 20 Do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 You see that faith was active with his works, and by works was faith made perfect; 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 And in the same way was not Rahab the prostitute justified by works, when she received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 Gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.

John 15:1-27

1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine; neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches: He who abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. 6 If a man does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch, and withers; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you: abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants; for the servant does not know what his lord is doing: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you to go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: so that whatever you shall ask from the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 This I command you, that you love one another. 18 If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, because I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no other man has done, they would not have sin: but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this came to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. 26 But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And you also shall bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.
