Matthew 25:24-30

24 Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: lo, here you have what is yours. 26 His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed: 27 Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and then at my coming I should have received it back with interest. 28 Take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 For to every one who has shall more be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him who does not have, even that which he has shall be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 25:14-30

14 For it is like a man travelling to a far country, who called his servants, and delivered to them his goods. 15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his ability; and he went on his journey. 16 Then he who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and gained another five talents. 17 And likewise, he who had received two, gained two more. 18 But he who had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them. 20 And so he who had received five talents came and brought the other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said to him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord. 22 He also who had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered to me two talents: behold, I have gained two more talents. 23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.
