⁴ Marriage is to be held in honour by all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled: for the sexually immoral and adulterers God will judge.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

¹ Does any of you dare, if you have a dispute against another, to go to law before the ungodly, instead of before the saints? ² Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? ³ Do you not know that we shall judge angels? how much more, things that pertain to this life? ⁴ If then you have such disputes, set them before those who are least esteemed in the church. ⁵ I speak this to your shame. Can it be that there is not a wise man among you who shall be able to judge between his brethren? ⁶ But brother goes to law against brother, and that before the unbelievers. ⁷ Now, it is utterly a defeat for you that you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather suffer the wrong? why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded? ⁸ Instead, you yourselves do wrong, and defraud, and you do this to your brethren. ⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders, ¹⁰ Nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. ¹² All things are lawful for me, but all things are not beneficial: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of anything. ¹³ Food is for the belly, and the belly for food: but God shall destroy both of them. The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. ¹⁴ And God has raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his power. ¹⁵ Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a prostitute? Never. ¹⁶ Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? for the two, he says, shall become one flesh. ¹⁷ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. ¹⁸ Flee sexual immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside his body; but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. ¹⁹ Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? ²⁰ For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

¹⁰ For adulterers, for those who defile themselves with men, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine;
