1 Corinthians 6:20

20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Matthew 4:1-11

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. 5 Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And said to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and on their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said to him, Again it is written, You shall not tempt the Lord your God. 8 Again, the devil took him to an exceedingly high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And said to him, All these things will I give you, if you will fall down and worship me. 10 Then Jesus said to him, Begone, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve. 11 Then the devil left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered to him.

Luke 21:34

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with dissipation, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life, so that day comes upon you unexpectedly like a snare.

1 Corinthians 7:35

35 And this I speak for your own benefit; not to restrain you, but to promote that which is seemly, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction.

Luke 10:38-42

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister named Mary, who sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his words. 40 But Martha was distracted by many tasks, and came to him, and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? then tell her to help me. 41 And Jesus answered her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things: 42 But only one thing is necessary: and Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to endure; but with the temptation will also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it.
