Matthew 25:14-30

14 For it will be as when a man going abroad called his own servants, and intrusted to them his property; 15 and to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his ability, and went abroad. 16 He that had received the five talents went immediately and traded with the same, and gained five talents more. 17 In like manner, he that had received the two gained two more. 18 But he that had received the one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lords money. 19 And after a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. 20 And he that had received the five talents came and brought five talents more, saying, Lord, thou intrustedst to me five talents; see, I have gained five talents more. 21 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! thou hast been faithful over a little, I will place thee in charge of much; enter into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received the two talents came and said, Lord, thou intrustedst to me two talents; see, I have gained two talents more. 23 His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant! thou hast been faithful over a little, I will place thee in charge of much; enter into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he also that had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee to be a hard man, reaping where thou didst not sow, and gathering where thou didst not scatter seed; 25 and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth. See! thou hast thine own. 26 But his lord answered and said to him, Wicked and slothful servant! Didst thou know that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I did not scatter seed? 27 Thou oughtest then to have put my money with the moneydealers, and on my coming I should have received mine own with interest. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who hath the ten talents. 29 For to every one that hath will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath will be taken away. 30 And cast out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness; there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

John 6:12-14

12 And when they were filled, he saith to his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain over, that nothing may be lost. 13 So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barleyloaves, which remained over and above to those that had eaten. 14 The men therefore seeing the sign which he wrought, said, This is truly the prophet that was to come into the world.
