²⁹ Let no foul language proceed out of your mouth, but whatever is good for edification, as the need may be, that it may benefit the hearers; ³⁰ and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye were sealed unto the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evilspeaking, be put away from you, with all malice; ³² and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

¹⁴ For the whole Law is fulfilled in one commandment, even in this "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

¹⁷ Charge those who are rich in this world that they be not highminded, nor place their hope in uncertain riches, but in God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; that they do good, ¹⁸ that they be rich in good works, liberal in imparting, willing to communicate, ¹⁹ laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on the true life.

⁵ even for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, and to virtue knowledge, ⁶ and to knowledge selfcontrol, and to selfcontrol endurance, and to endurance godliness, ⁷ and to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

¹⁵ See that none render evil for evil to any one; but ever follow that which is good, both toward one another and toward all.

¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love hath no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. ¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you.

³ doing nothing in the spirit of faction, or in the spirit of vainglory, but in humility esteeming others as better than yourselves;

⁸ Finally, be, all of one mind, have fellow feeling, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble;

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good and lend, despairing of no one; and your reward will be great, and ye will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the unthankful and wicked.

⁴ looking each of you not to his own interest, but each to the interest of others also.
