¹⁷ the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot receive, because it doth not behold it, nor know it; ye know it, because it abideth with you, and will be in you.

²⁸ And as they did not choose to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do things which are shameful; ²⁹ being filled with all unrighteousness, malice, covetousness, wickedness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; backbiters, ³⁰ slanderers, hated of God, insolent, proud, boasters, inventors of mischief, disobedient to parents, ³¹ senseless, faithless, without natural affection, without pity;

⁵ casting down reasonings, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every purpose into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

¹¹ and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

¹⁷ Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

¹⁵ Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one loveth the world, the love of the Father is not in him; ¹⁶ because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

¹⁷ that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work.

²¹ but prove all things; hold fast that which is good;

¹⁶ All Scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for discipline in righteousness;

² and be not conformed to the fashion of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that ye may learn by experience what is the will of God, what is good, and wellpleasing, and perfect.
