³ And the tempter came and said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become loaves of bread.

⁴ For if God spared not angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them over to chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

⁶ not a new convert, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the Devil;

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner shared in the same, that through death he might bring to nought him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil,

⁴ and his tail dragged the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth. And the dragon standeth before the woman who was about to bring forth, that when she hath brought forth he may devour her child.
