Luke 12:42-46

42 And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful, the wise steward, whom his lord will place over his household, to give the portion of food in due season? 43 Happy is that servant whom his lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing. 44 I say to you in truth, that he will place him in charge of all his substance. 45 But if that servant say in his heart, My lord is long in coming; and begin to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and be drunken, 46 the lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the unfaithful.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation hath come upon you, but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what ye are able to endure, but will with the temptation furnish also the way to escape, that ye may be able to endure it.

2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all be made manifest before the judgmentseat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.

1 Corinthians 7:3-5

3 Let the husband render to his wife her due; and so also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife hath not the disposal of her own body, but her husband; and so also the husband hath not the disposal of his own body, but his wife. 5 Defraud not one another, except by agreement for a time, that ye may have a season for prayer; and be together again, that Satan may not tempt you through your incontinence.

James 3:9-12

9 Therewith bless we the Lord and Father, and therewith curse we men, who have been made after the likeness of God; 10 out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11 Doth a fountain from the same opening send forth sweet water and bitter? 12 Can a figtree, my brethren, bear olives, or a vine, figs? Neither can salt water yield fresh.

1 Timothy 6:1

1 Let all who are under the yoke as bondservants count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

1 Peter 3:1

1 In like manner, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that even if any obey not the word, they may without the word be won by the behavior of the wives,

James 1:1-27

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into various temptations; 3 knowing that the trying of your faith worketh endurance. 4 But let endurance have a perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting in nothing. 5 But if any one of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting; for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord, 8 a doubleminded man as he is, unstable in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of low degree glory in that he is exalted; 10 but the rich, in that he is made low; because as the flower of the grass he will pass away. 11 For the sun rose with its burning heat, and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also will the rich man fade away in his ways. 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation; for when he is approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to them that love him. 13 Let no one when he is tempted, say, I am tempted by God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he tempteth no one. 14 But each one is tempted when by his own lust he is led away and enticed; 15 then lust, having conceived, bringeth forth sin, and sin, when completed, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no change, nor shadow from turning. 18 Of his own will he begot us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore put off all filthiness, and excess of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if any one is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass; 24 for he beholds himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty, and remains there, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in his deed. 26 If any one thinks that he is religious, and bridles not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this mans religion is vain. 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God, the Father, is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep ones self unspotted from the world.

Matthew 4:10

10 Then saith Jesus to him, Be gone, Satan! for it is written, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."

18 If it be possible, as far as dependeth on you, be at peace with all men.

1 John 2:1-29

1 My children, these things I write to you, that ye may not sin. And if any one have sinned, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And he is a propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world. 3 And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keepeth his word, truly in him is the love of God perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 7 Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard. 8 Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him, and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in the darkness until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him; 11 but he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes. 12 I write to you, my children, because your sins have been forgiven you for his names sake. 13 I write to you, fathers, because ye know him that was from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the Evil One. I have written to you, my children, because ye know the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers, because ye know him that was from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the Evil One. 15 Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one loveth the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 My children, the last time is come; and as ye have heard that Antichrist is coming, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know that the last time is come. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they are not all of us. 20 And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and know all things. 21 I have not written to you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denieth the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; he that acknowledgeth the Son hath also the Father. 24 As for you, let that which ye have heard from the beginning abide in you. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall abide in you, ye also will abide in the Son, and in the Father. 25 And this is the promise which he himself promised us, even the life everlasting. 26 These things I have written to you concerning those who seduce you. 27 And the anointing which ye yourselves received from him abideth in you, and ye have no need that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is not a lie, even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 28 And now, my children, abide in him; that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one also that doeth righteousness hath been born of him.
