⁶ Jesus saith to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father but through me.

²² Thou hast faith; have it to thyself before God. Happy is he who doth not condemn himself in that which he alloweth.

²⁴ No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will cleave to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

⁷ in all things showing thyself a pattern of good works, in teaching showing uncorruptness, gravity, ⁸ sound speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is opposed to us may be put to shame, having no evil thing to say of us.

¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. ¹⁶ So then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am about to vomit thee out of my mouth.

The old commandment is the word which ye have heard. ⁸ Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him, and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shineth. ⁹ He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in the darkness until now. ¹⁰ He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him; ¹¹ but he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.

¹⁷ and he is before all things, and in him all things subsist.

²⁷ And the anointing which ye yourselves received from him abideth in you, and ye have no need that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is not a lie, even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

³⁷ But let your language be, Yea, yea; Nay; nay; for whatever is more than these cometh of evil.

²¹ Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons; ye cannot be partakers of the Lords table, and the table of demons.

⁹ And let us not be fainthearted in welldoing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
