1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals.

Genesis 3:1-24

1 Now the serpent was craftier than any of the wild animals Jehovah God had made. He said to the woman: »Did God really say, you must not eat from any tree in the garden?« 2 The woman said to the serpent: »We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden. 3 ‘»However, God did say: ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden. You must not touch it, or you will die.’« 4 »You will not die,« the serpent said to the woman. 5 »God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened. Then you will be like God, knowing good and evil.« 6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened. They realized they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. 8 The man and his wife heard the sound (voice) of Jehovah God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day. They hid from Jehovah, among the trees of the garden. 9 But Jehovah God called to the man: »Where are you?« 10 He (Adam) answered: »I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.« 11 And he said: »Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?« 12 Adam said: »The woman you put here with me gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.« 13 Then Jehovah God said to the Eve: »What is this you have done?« The woman answered: »The serpent deceived me, and I ate.« 14 So Jehovah God said to the serpent: »Because you have done this you are cursed above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 »And I will put enmity (hostility) (hatred) between you and the woman, and between your offspring (seed) and hers. He will bruise (overwhelm) (crush) you in the head, and you will bruise (overwhelm) (crush) him in the heel.« (Romans 16:20) 16 He said to the woman: »I will greatly increase your pains in childbirth; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.« 17 He said to Adam: »Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. 18 »It will produce thorns and thistles for you. You will eat the plants of the field. 19 »You will eat your food by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground. You came from the ground. For dust you are and to dust you will return.« 20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living. 21 Jehovah God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 Jehovah said: »The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.« 23 Therefore Jehovah God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Proverbs 14:30

30 A sound heart is life for the body. Envy (jealousy) is like bone cancer (decay) (rottenness to the bones).

2 Corinthians 4:7

7 We have this treasure in earthen vessels that the power beyond what is normal may be from God, and not from ourselves.

Philippians 2:5-10

5 Have this attitude (mind-set) (understanding) (mental state) in you that was also in Christ Jesus. 6 He existed in the form (shape and nature) of God but did not try to be equal with God. He did not even consider it! 7 He emptied (humbled) himself by taking the form of a servant. He was made in the likeness of men. 8 He obtained the appearance as a man, humbled himself, and became obedient even to death, yes, death on the stake. 9 For this reason God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name that is above every name, (Relative authority given by Jehovah God, the Father to His Son) (Philipians 2:11) 10 that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and things under the earth,

Galatians 6:2

2 Bear one another's burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.

John 13:34-35

34 »I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. 35 »All men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.«

Luke 6:27-36

27 »I tell you who listen, love your enemies and do good to those who hate you. 28 »Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who despitefully use you. 29 »When someone slaps you on one cheek offer the other. Give your coat to the one who takes your topcoat. 30 »Give to every one who asks of you and do not demand back your goods from he who takes from you. 31 »As you would like men to do to you, do also to them. 32 »If you love those who love you what thanks do you have? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 »If you do good to those who do good to you what thanks do you have? Even sinners do the same. 34 »If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive what thanks do you have? Even sinners lend to sinners to receive again as much. 35 »Love your enemies and do good to them. Lend expecting nothing in return and your reward will be great. You will be sons of the Most High for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil. 36 »Be merciful even as your Father is merciful.

James 5:16

16 Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man helps much.

2 Corinthians 6:11-13

11 O Corinthians, we have spoken openly to you, our (figurative) heart is wide open (enlarged). 12 We do not restrict you, but you are restricted by your own affections. 13 Now in return for the same in like kind (I speak as to my children), you also be open (open your hearts wide)!

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 He told me: »My grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness.« Most gladly therefore, I would rather glory in my infirmities (frailities), that the power of Christ may rest upon me (cover me like a tent) (descend upon me) (abide with me). (Isaiah 40:29-31) 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

James 1:1-27

1 This letter is from James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. Greetings to the twelve tribes that are scattered. 2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials. 3 Know that the testing of your faith produces patience (endurance). 4 Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be mature, complete, and lacking in nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God. He gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him. 6 However he must ask in faith, not doubting: for he who doubts is like a surging wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed. 7 Do not let that man think that he will receive anything from God. 8 A double-minded man is unstable (inconsistent) in all his ways. 9 Let the brother of humble circumstances glory in his high position (exaltation). 10 But the rich must be glad when God humbles them. This is because they will wither like wildflowers and pass away. 11 The sun rises with scorching heat and withers the grass. The flower falls off and its beauty perishes. So also the rich man will fade away in his pursuits. 12 The man who endures under trial is blessed. For when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted: »God tempts me.« God cannot be tempted with evil, and he tempts (entices) (tests) (trys) no one. 14 Each man is tempted when he is drawn away by his evil desire (lust). He is enticed (allured). 15 Then evil desires, when conceived, give birth to sin: and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. It comes down from the Father of lights (truth and spiritual purity), with whom there is no variation. He does not change like shifting shadows. 18 Using his own will, he gave us birth through the word of truth. This way we would be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. 19 You know this, my beloved brothers. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. 20 The anger of man does not promote the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore get rid of all filthiness and wickedness. Receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save you. 22 Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, who deceive themselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. 24 He sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and so continues, being not a hearer who forgets but a doer who works, this man will be blessed in what he does. 26 If any man thinks he is religious, while he does not control his tongue but deceives his heart, this man's religion is vain (worthless) (useless). 27 Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for the fatherless persons and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.
