Praise him with harps and stringed instruments. ⁴ Praise him with tambourines and dancing. Praise him with stringed instruments and flutes. ⁵ Praise him with loud cymbals. Praise him with crashing cymbals. ⁶ Let everything that breathes praise Jehovah! Praise Jehovah!

¹⁴ I will praise you, for in an awesome way I am wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful and I know this very well.

³ »Blessed (Greek: makarios: happy, blessed) are those conscious of their spiritual need, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.

³ Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others more important than you. ⁴ Look out for the interest of others and not only for your own personal interest. ⁵ Have this attitude (mind-set) (understanding) (mental state) in you that was also in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Give thanks to God the Father through him.

¹⁰ You put on the new self that is being renewed to a true knowledge (full discernment) according to the image of the one who created him.

²² A merry heart is good medicine but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

¹⁴ Do all things without complaining (grumbling) (murmuring) and questioning (disputing).

⁸ Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. ⁹ The things that you have learned, received, heard and saw in me; do these things and the God of peace will be with you.

²³ Whatever you do, work at it without reservation, as to God, and not to men.

¹⁴ Do all things without complaining (grumbling) (murmuring) and questioning (disputing). ¹⁵ That way you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. You are seen as lights in the world.
