¹⁰ And he said, "I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; so I hid myself."

³ But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

¹ [By David.] To you, LORD, do I lift up my soul. ² My God, I have trusted in you. Do not let me be shamed. Do not let my enemies triumph over me. ³ Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause. ⁴ Show me your ways, LORD. Teach me your paths. ⁵ Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long. ⁶ LORD, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, for they are from old times. ⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, for your goodness' sake, LORD. ⁸ Good and upright is the LORD, therefore he will instruct sinners in the way. ⁹ He will guide the humble in justice. He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose. ¹³ His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his descendants shall inherit the land. ¹⁴ The friendship of the LORD is with those who fear him. He will show them his covenant. ¹⁵ My eyes are ever on the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. ¹⁶ Turn to me, and have mercy on me, for I am desolate and afflicted. ¹⁷ Relieve me from the distresses of my heart, and bring me out of my distresses. ¹⁸ Consider my affliction and my travail. Forgive all my sins. ¹⁹ Consider my enemies, for they are many. They hate me with cruel hatred. ²⁰ Oh keep my soul, and deliver me. Let me not be disappointed, for I take refuge in you. ²¹ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for you, LORD. ²² Redeem Israel, God, from all of his troubles.

¹⁹ Look, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you, and I will save those who are lame, and gather those who were driven away. I will give them praise and honor, whose shame has been in all the earth.

³⁸ For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

²⁶ For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the glory of the Father, and of the holy angels.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Let me not be disappointed, LORD, for I have called on you. Let the wicked be disappointed. Let them be silent in Sheol.

¹³ No temptation has taken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

⁴ I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears. ⁵ They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces are not ashamed.

¹¹ For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

² looking to Jesus, the founder and completer of the faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁷ Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be to them.
