²¹ Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.

¹⁶ For God loved the world in this way: He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁷ Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with. ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; ¹⁰ but when that which is complete has come, that which is partial will be done away with. ¹¹ When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become an adult, I have put away childish things. ¹² For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known. ¹³ But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.

³¹ Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. ³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

³¹ And as you would like people to do to you, you also do the same to them.
