¹² Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.

²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress.

¹³ For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. ¹⁴ I will give thanks to you, for I am awesomely and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and my soul knows that very well. ¹⁵ My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth. ¹⁶ Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.

² This is what the LORD who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: "Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

² Look, in the God of my salvation I will trust, and will not be afraid. For the LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation."

⁵ "Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations."

³² You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."

¹³ I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father— ⁵ to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁷ But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am a child;' for to whoever I shall send you, you shall go, and whatever I shall command you, you shall speak. ⁸ Do not be afraid because of them; for I am with you to deliver you," says the LORD.

³ "Listen to me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that have been borne from their birth, that have been carried from the womb; ⁴ and even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry, and will deliver.

⁶ I have called on you, for you will answer me, God. Turn your ear to me. Hear my speech.

¹⁴ "Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. ¹⁵ He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

¹¹ Rescue those who are being led away to death. Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter. ¹² If you say, "Look, we did not know this;" doesn't he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn't he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?

¹¹ "'For thus says the Lord GOD: "Look, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. ¹² As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

³⁹ The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

³ "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. ⁴ Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."
