Bible verses about "outer space" | NHEB

Genesis 1:14-19

14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and for years; 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17 And God set them in the expanse of sky to give light to the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

Genesis 1:1-31

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was on the surface of the watery depths. And God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. There was evening and there was morning, one day. 6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." And it was so. 7 And God made the expanse, and divided the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. 8 And God called the expanse Sky. And God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9 And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together in one gathering, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. And the waters under the sky gathered to their gatherings, and the dry land appeared. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, "Let the earth produce vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kind, with its seed in it, on the earth." And it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 There was evening and there was morning, a third day. 20 And God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of sky." And it was so. 21 And God created the large sea creatures, and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth." 23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. 24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind." And it was so. 25 And God made the animals of the earth after their kind, and the livestock after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind. And God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 And God created man in his own image. In Godʼs image he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." 29 And God said, "Look, I have given you every plant yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. 30 To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and look, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

Genesis 1:2-3

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was on the surface of the watery depths. And God's Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

7 He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

Isaiah 40:22

22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;

2 Corinthians 12:2

2 I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I do not know, or whether out of the body, I do not know; God knows), such a one was caught up into the third heaven.

Genesis 1:16

16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars.

Psalms 8:3

3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

Psalms 19:1-6

1 The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice has gone out to all the earth, their words to the farthest part of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a strong man rejoicing to run his course. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens, his circuit to its ends; There is nothing hidden from its heat.

Psalms 104:1-35

1 Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty. 2 He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. 3 He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind. 4 He makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire. 5 He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever and ever. 6 You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains. 7 At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away. 8 The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them. 9 You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they do not turn again to cover the earth. 10 He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains. 11 They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst. 12 The birds of the sky nest by them; among the branches they give forth a sound. 13 He waters the mountains from his chambers. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works. 14 He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth: 15 wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart. 16 The LORD's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted; 17 where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees. 18 The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers. 19 He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl. 21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. 22 The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens. 23 Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening. 24 LORD, how many are your works. In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your riches. 25 There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals. 26 There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there. 27 These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. 28 You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good. 29 You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust. 30 You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground. 31 Let the glory of the LORD endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works. 32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke. 33 I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist. 34 Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in the LORD. 35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD.

Psalms 19:1

1 The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

Revelation 8:12

12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day would not shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Isaiah 40:26

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their host by number. He calls them all by name; by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

Psalms 8:3-4

3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; 4 what is man, that you think of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
