⁴ No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier. ⁵ Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules. ⁶ The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops. ⁷ Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.

¹² Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.

¹⁰ Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹³ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

⁹ Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up.
