Bible verses about "accountability" | NHEB

Jeremiah 17:10

10 I, the LORD, search the mind, I try the heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

Matthew 7:3-5

3 And why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and look, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite. First remove the log out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

Luke 12:47-48

47 That servant, who knew his lord's will, and did not prepare, nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes, 48 but he who did not know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.

Luke 16:10-12

10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. 11 If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 If you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one keep warm alone? 12 If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. 13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Matthew 12:36-37

36 But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Proverbs 27:17

17 Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance.

Luke 17:3

James 5:16

Romans 14:12

12 So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

Galatians 6:1-5

1 Brothers, even if someone is caught in some wrongdoing, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also are not tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor. 5 For every person will bear his own load.
