Bible verses about "influence" | Moffatt

1 Peter 3:15

15 but reverence Christ as Lord in your own hearts. Always be ready with a reply for anyone who calls you to account for the hope you cherish, but answer gently and with a sense of reverence; 16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for amendment, and for moral discipline, 17 to make the man of God proficient and equip him for good work of every kind.

Galatians 5:7-9

7 You were doing splendidly. Who was it that prevented you from obeying the Truth? 8 That sort of suasion does not come from Him who called you! 9 (A morsel of dough will leaven the whole lump.)

1 Peter 3:16

16 see that you have a clean conscience, so that, for all their slander of you, these libellers of your good Christian behaviour may be ashamed.

1 Peter 2:12

Matthew 5:13-16

13 You are the salt of the earth. But if salt becomes insipid, what can make it salt again? After that it is fit for nothing, fit only to be thrown outside and trodden by the feet of men. 14 You are the light of the world. A town on the top of a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do men light a lamp to put it under a bowl; they put it on a stand and it shines for all in the house. 16 So your light is to shine before men, that they may see the good you do and glorify your Father in heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Make no mistake about this: 'bad company is the ruin of good character.'
