James 2:14-17

14 My brothers, what is the use of anyone declaring he has faith, if he has no deeds to show? Can his faith save him? 15 Suppose some brother or sister is ill-clad and short of daily food; 16 if any of you says to them, "Depart in peace! Get warm, get food," without supplying their bodily needs, what use is that? 17 So faith, unless it has deeds, is dead in itself.

Romans 12:17-21

17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone; aim to be above reproach in the eyes of all; 18 be at peace with all men, if possible, so far as that depends on you. 19 Never revenge yourselves, beloved, but let the Wrath of God have its way; for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will exact a requital — the Lord has said it. No, 20 if your enemy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsty, give him drink; for in this way you will make him feel a burning sense of shame. 21 Do not let evil get the better of you; get the better of evil by doing good.

Romans 12:19

19 Never revenge yourselves, beloved, but let the Wrath of God have its way; for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will exact a requital — the Lord has said it. No,
