Isaiah 9:6

6 For vnto vs a chylde shalbe borne, and vnto vs a sonne shalbe geuen. Vpon his shoulder shall the kyngedome lye, and he shalbe called with hys owne name. The wonderous geuer of councel, the myghty God, the euerlastinge father, the prynce of peace,

John 1:1-51

1 In the begynnynge was the worde, and the word was with God, & the worde was God. 2 The same was in the begynnynge wyth God. 3 All thynges were made by it and without it was made nothynge that was made. 4 In it was lyfe, and the lyfe was the lyght of men, 5 & the lyght shyneth in the darknes, but the darknes comprehended it not. 6 Ther was a man sent from God, whose name was Iohn. 7 These same came as a wytnes to beare wytnes of the lyght, that all men through him myght beleue. 8 He was not that lyght but to beare witnes of the lyght. 9 That was a true lyght, which lyghted all men that come into the worlde. 10 He was in the worlde, & the worlde was made by him, & yet the worlde knewe him not. 11 He came amonge his (owne) & his owne receiued him not. 12 But as manye as receyued him to them he gaue power to be the sonnes of God in that they beleued on his name 13 & which were borne not of the bloude nor of the wyl of the flesh, nor yet of the wyll of man: but of God. 14 And the worde was made flesh & dwelt amonge vs, and we sawe the glorye of it, as the glory of the onlye begotten sonne of the father, which worde was ful of grace & verite. 15 Iohn bare witnes of him & cried saiyng: This was he of whom I spake, he that cometh after me was before me, because he was yer then I. 16 And of his fulnes haue all we receyued, euen (grace) for grace. 17 For the lawe was geuen by Moyses, but grace and truthe came by Iesus Christ. 18 No man hath sene God at anye tyme. The onlye begotten sonne which is in the bosome of the father, he hath declared hym. 19 And this is the recorde of Iohn: When the Iewes sent pryestes and Leuites from Ierusalem, to axe him what arte thou? 20 And he confessed and denied not, and sayd plainlye: I am not Chryste. 21 And they axed hym: what then? Art thou Helias? And he sayed: I am not. Art thou a Prophete? And he aunswered no. 22 Then sayed they vnto him: what art thou? that we may geue an aunswere to them that sent vs? What sayest thou of thy selfe? 23 He sayde: I am the voice of a cryar in the wyldernes, make strayght the waye of the Lorde, as sayde the Prophete Esaias. 24 And they which were sent, were of the pharyseis. 25 And they axed him: and sayd vnto him: why baptysest thou then if thou be not Christ, nor Helias, neyther a Prophete? 26 Iohn aunswered them saiynge: I baptyse with water, but one is come amonge you whom ye knowe not, 27 he it is that cometh after me, which was before me, whose shoe latchet I am not worthy to vnlose. 28 These thinges were done in Bethabara beyonde Iordaine wher Iohn did baptyse. 29 The nexte daye Iohn sawe Iesus commynge vnto him, and sayde: beholde the lambe of God, which taketh away the synne of the worlde. 30 This is he of whom I sayde. After me cometh a man which was before me, for he was yer then I, 31 and I knowe him not: but that he shoulde be declared to Israel, therfore am I come baptysynge with water. 32 And Iohn bare recorde saiynge: I saw the sprete descende from heauen, lyke vnto a doue, and abide vpon him, 33 and I knewe him not. But he that sent me: to baptyse in water, the same sayde vnto me: vpon whom thou shalt se the sprete descende and tarye styll on him, the same is he, whych baptyseth wyth the holye ghost. 34 And I sawe and beare recorde that this is the sonne of God. 35 The next daye after Iohn stode againe, and two of his disciples. 36 And he behelde Iesus as he walked by, & sayde: beholde the lambe of God. 37 And the .ij. disciples hearde him speake & foloweth Iesus. 38 And Iesus turned aboute and sawe them folowe, and sayde vnto them: what seke ye? They sayde vnto him: Rabbi (which is to saye by interpretacion, Maister) wher dwellest thou? 39 He sayed vnto them: come and se. They came and sawe wher he dwelte: and abode with him the daye. For it was aboute the tenth houre. 40 One of the two which hearde Iohn speake and folowed Iesus, was Andrew Simon Peters brother. 41 The same founde his brother Simon fyrst, and sayde vnto him: we haue founde Messias, which is by interpretation, anointed: 42 and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and saide: thou art Simon the sonne of Ionas, thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion, a stone. 43 The daye folowinge Iesus woulde go into Galyle, and founde Philip, and saide vnto him: folow me. 44 Philip was of Bethsaida the citye of Andrewe and Peter. 45 And Phylyp founde Nathanaell, and sayde vnto hym. We haue founde hym of whom Moyses in the lawe, and the prophetes did write: Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth. 46 And Nathanael said to him: Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saide to him: come and se. 47 Iesus sawe Nathanael comminge to him and sayde of him: Beholde a right Israelyte, in whom is no gyle. 48 Nathanael, saide vnto hym: wher knewest thou me? Iesus aunswered, and sayde vnto him: Before that Philyp called the when thou wast vnder the fygge tree, I sawe the. 49 Nathanael aunswered & sayde vnto him: Rabbi, thou art the sonne of God, thou art the kynge of Israel. 50 Iesus aunswered and sayde vnto him: Because I sayde vnto the: I sawe the vnder the fygge tree, thou beleuest. Thou shalt se greater thinges then these. 51 And he sayed vnto him: Verely verely, I saye vnto you: here after shall ye se heauen open, and the aungels of God ascendinge and descendinge ouer the sonne of man,

Matthew 19:1-30

1 And it came to passe when Iesus had finished those sayinges, he gat him from Galile, and came into the coostes of Iury beyonde Iordan, 2 and much people folowed hym, and he healed them there. 3 Then came vnto him the Pharises, tempting him, & saying to hym: Is it lawful for a man to put away his wyfe for all maner of causes? 4 He aunswered and sayde vnto them: Haue ye not reade, howe that he whiche made man at the beginnyng, made them man and woman 5 and sayd: for this thynge, shall a man leaue father and mother & cleaue vnto his wyfe, & thei twayne but one flesh. 6 Wherefore now are they not twaine, but one fleshe. Let not man therefore put a sunder, that whiche God hath couppled together. 7 Then sayd they to him: why did Moyses commaund to geue a testimoniall of diuorcement, & to put her awaye? 8 He sayde vnto them: Moyses because of the hardnes of youre hertes suffred you to put away your wyfes: But from the beginning it was not so. 9 I say therfore vnto you, whosoeuer putteth awaye hys wyfe, (except it he for fornicacion) & marieth another, breaketh wedloke. And whosoeuer maryeth her, which is diuorced, doth commit aduoutry. 10 Then sayde his disciples to him: if the matter be so betwene man and wyfe, then is it not good to marye. 11 He sayde vnto them: all men can not awaye with that sayinge, saue they to whome it is geuen. 12 There are chaste whiche were so borne out of theyr mothers bealy. And there are chaste whiche be made of men. And there be chast which haue made them selues chaste for the kyngdom of heauens sake. He that can take it let hym take it. 13 Then were brought to him iong chyldren, that he should put his handes on them & praye. And the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Iesus sayd suffer the chyldren and forbid them not to come to me: for of suche is the kyngdome of heauen. 15 And when he had put his handes on them he departed thence. 16 And beholde one came and saide to him: good master, what good thinge shall I do, that I maye haue eternall lyfe? 17 He sayde to him: why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, & that is God. But if thou wilt enter into lyfe, kepe the commaundementes, 18 The other sayd to him: Which And Iesus sayde: Breake no wedloke, kyll not, steale not: beare not false witues, 19 honoure father and mother, and loue thy neyghboure as thy selfe. 20 And the iong man sayd vnto him: I haue obserued all these thynges from my youth, what lacke I yet? 21 And Iesus sayde vnto him, if thou wilt be perfecte go and sell that thou haste, and geue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come and folowe me. 22 When the ionge man hearde that saying: he went away mournynge. For he had great possessions. 23 Then Iesus sayd vnto his disciples: Verely I saye vnto you: it is harde for a riche man to enter into the kyngdom of heauen. 24 And moreouer I saye vnto you, it is easier for a Camel to go thorow the eye of a nedle, then for a ryche man to entre into the kyngdom of God 25 When his disciples hearde that, thei were exceadingly amased saying: who then can be saued? 26 Iesus beheld them and sayde vnto them: with men this is impossible, but with God al thynges are possible. 27 Then aunswered Peeter and sayde vnto hym: Beholde we haue forsaken all and folowed the, what shall we haue? 28 Iesus sayde vnto them: Verely I saye vnto you: when the sonne of man shall sit in the seate of hys maiestie, yea, which folow me in the second geueracion, shall sitte also vpon .xij. seates, and iudge the .xij. tribes of Israel. 29 And whosoeuer forsaketh houses, or brethren, or systers, other father or mother, or wyfe or chyldren, or landes, for my names sake, the same shal receyue an .C. folde, & shal enherite euerlasting life. 30 Many that are firste shall be last, and the last shalbe the first.

Hebrews 6:1-20

1 Wherfore let vs loue the doctrine pertaininge to the beginninge of a Christen man, & let vs go vnto perfeccion, & nowe no more lay the foundacion of repentaunce from deade workes, and of faythe towarde God, 2 of baptyme, of doctryne, and of layinge on of handes, and of resurreccion from death, and of eternal iudgemente. 3 And so wil we do, yf God permytte. 4 For it is not possible that they whiche were ones lyghted, and haue tasted of the heauenly gyft, and were become partakers of the holy ghoste, 5 and haue tasted of the good worde of God, and of the worlde to come: 6 yf they fall, shoulde be renued agayne vnto repentaunce: for as muche as they haue (as concernynge them selues) crucifyed the sonne of God a freshe makynge a mocke of hym. 7 For that earthe whiche drincketh in the rayne whiche commeth ofte vpon it, and bryngeth forth herbes mete for them that dresse it, receyueth blessynge of God. 8 But that ground which beareth thornes and bryars, is reproued, and is nye vnto curssynge: whose ende is to be burned. 9 Neuerthelesse deare frindes, we truste to se better of you, and thynges whiche accompanye saluacyon, though we thus speake. 10 For God is not vnryghtuous that he should forget your worke and laboure that procedeth of loue, which loue you shewed in hys name, whiche haue mynystred vnto the saynctes, & yet mynyster. 11 Yea, and we desyre that euerye one of you shew the same dylygence, to the stablyshynge of hope euen vnto the ende: 12 that ye faynt not, but folowe them, whiche thorowe fayth & pacience inheret the promyses. 13 For when God made promes to Abraham, because he had no greater thynge to sweare by, he sweare by hym selfe, 14 saiynge: Surelye I wyl blesse the, and multyplye the in deede. 15 And so after that he had taryed a longe tyme, he enioyed the promes. 16 Men verelye sweare by hym that is greater then them selues, & an othe to confyrme the thynge, is amonge them an ende of all stryfe. 17 So God wyllynge verye aboundauntlye to shewe vnto the heyres of promes, the stablenes of hys counsayle, he added an othe, 18 that by two immutable thynges (in which it was vnpossyble that GOD shaulde lye) we myghte haue perfecte consolacyon, whiche haue fled, for to holde faste the hope that is set before vs, 19 whiche hope we haue an ancre of the soule both sure and stedfast. Whiche hope also entreth in, into those thynges that are wythin the vayle, 20 whether the fore runner is for vs entred in I meane Iesus that is made an hye prieste for euer, after the order of Melchysedech.

Genesis 2:1-25

1 Thus was heauen and erth fynyshed with all their apparel, 2 and in the seuenth day God ended hys worke whiche he had made, & rested in the seuenth day from al his workes which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seuenth daye, & sanctified it, for in it he rested from al his workes which he had created and made. 4 These are the generacions of heauen and erth when they were created, in the tyme when the Lord God created heauen & erth 5 and all the shrubbes of the felde before they were in the erth. And al the herbes of the felde before they sprange, for the Lord God had yet sent no rayne vpon the erth, nether was there yet any man to tylle the erth. 6 But there arose a myste out of the ground, & watered all the face of the erth: 7 Then the Lord God shope man, euen of the mould of the erth, & brethed into his face the breth of lyfe. So man was made a lyuyng soule. 8 The Lorde God also planted a garden in Eden from the beginning, and there he sette man whom he had formed. 9 And the Lord god made to sprynge out of the erth, all maner trees bewtyfull to the syght and pleasant to eate, and the tree of lyfe in the myddes of the garden: and also the tree of knowledge of good and euell. 10 And there sprange a ryuer out of Eden to water the garden, & thence deuyded it self, & grewe in to foure pryncypall waters. 11 The name of the one is Phison, he it is that compasseth all the lande of Heuyla, 12 where golde groweth. And the golde of that contre is precyous, ther is found Bedellyon, and a stone called Onix. 13 The name of the second ryuer is Gihon, whych compasseth al the lande of Iude. 14 And the name of the thyrde ryuer is Hydekell, whyche runneth on the easte syde of the Assyrians. And the fourth ryuer is Euphrates. 15 And the Lord God toke Adam, & put him in the garden of Eden, to dresse it & to kepe it. 16 And the Lord God commaunded Adam saying: Of all the trees of the garden se thou eate: 17 But of the tree of knowledge of good & bad se that thou eate not: For euen the same daye thou eatest of it thou shalt dye the dethe. 18 And the Lorde God sayde: It is not good that man should be alone, I wyll make hym an helper to beare hym company. 19 And after that the Lorde God had made of the erth al maner beastes of the felde, and all maner foules of the ayre, he brought them vnto Adam to se what he wolde call them. And as Adam called al maner lyuyng beastes, euen so are their names. 20 And Adam gaue names vnto al maner catell, and vnto the foules of the ayre and vnto all maner beastes of the felde. But ther was no helpe founde vnto Adam to beare hym company. 21 Then the Lord god cast a slomber on Adam, and he slepte. And then he toke out one of his ribbes, & in stede ther of he filled vp the place wt flesh. 22 And the lord God made of the ribbe whych he toke out of Adam a woman: and brought her vnto Adam. 23 Then sayde Adam: This is once bone of my bones, & flesh of my flesh. This shal be called woman: because she was take of the man. 24 For this cause shal a man leue father & mother, & cleue vnto hys wyfe, & they shal be one flesh. 25 And they were ether of them naked, bothe Adam & his wyfe, and were not ashamed.

Hebrews 11:3

3 Thorow faythe we vnderstande that the worlde was ordeyned by the worde of God: and that thinges whiche are sene, were made of thynges whiche are not sene.

Genesis 1:3

3 Than God sayd: let there be light: & there was lyght.

Isaiah 42:5

5 For thus sayeth God the Lord vnto hym (euen he that the made heauens, and spred them abrode & seth forth the earth with her increase, whych geueth breath vnto the people that is in it, & to them that dwell therin)

2 Peter 3:8

8 Dearly beloued, be not ignoraunt of thys one thinge, howe that one daye is wyth the Lorde, as a thousande yeare, and a thousande yeare as one daye.

John 1:1

1 In the begynnynge was the worde, and the word was with God, & the worde was God.

Isaiah 48:13

13 My hande is the foundacyon of the earthe, & my ryghte hande spanneth ouer the heauens. As sone as I called them they were there.

Genesis 1:1

1 In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth.

Genesis 1:1-31

1 In the beginnynge GOD created heauen and erth. 2 The erth was voyde and empty, and darcknesse was vpon the depe, and the spirite of God moued vpon the water. 3 Than God sayd: let there be light: & there was lyght. 4 And God sawe the lyght that it was good: & deuyded the lyght from the darcknesse, 5 & called the lyght the daye, & the darcknesse the nyght: and so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fyrst daye. 6 And God sayde: let there be a fyrmament betwene the waters, & let it deuyde the waters a sonder. 7 Than God made the fyrmament, and parted the waters whyche were vnder the fyrmament, from the waters that were aboue the fyrmament: And it was so. 8 And God called the fyrmament Heauen. And so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the seconde daye. 9 And God sayde: let the waters that are vnder heauen gather them selues vnto one place, that the drye lande may appere. And it came so to passe. 10 And GOD called the drye lande the erth, and the gatheryng together of waters called he the sea. And God sawe that it was good. 11 And God sayde: let the erth brynge forth herbe and grasse that sowe seed, and fruteful trees, that bere frute euery one in his kynde, hauyng their seed in them selues vpon the erth. And it came so to passe. 12 And the erth brought forth herbe and grasse sowing seed euery one in hys kynde, and trees berynge frute, and hauynge theyr seed in themselues, euery one in hys kynde. And God sawe that it was good, 13 and then of the euenyng and mornyng was made the thyrde daye. 14 Than sayde God: let there be lightes in the fyrmament of heauen, to deuyde the day from the nyght, that they may be vnto sygnes, seasons, dayes and yeares. 15 And let them be lyghtes in the fyrmament of heauen, to shyne vpon the erth: And so it was. 16 And God made two greate lyghtes: A greater lyght to rule the daye, and a lesse lyght to rule the nyght: and he made sterres also. 17 And God put them in the fyrmament of heauen to shyne vpon the erth, 18 and to rule the daye and the nyght: and to deuyde the lyght from darcknesse. And God sawe that it was good: 19 & so of the euenyng & mornyng was made the fourth day. 20 And God said: let the water bryng forth creatures that moue and haue lyfe, & foules for to flye ouer the erth vnder the fyrmament of heauen. 21 And God created greate whalles and al maner of creatures that lyue & moue, whych the waters brought forth in their kyndes, & all maner of fethered foules in theyr kyndes. And God sawe that it was good: 22 & God blessed them sayinge: Growe and multyplie and fyll the waters of the seas: and let the foules multyplye vpon the erth. 23 And so of the euening & morning was made the fyfth day. 24 And God sayd: let the erth brynge forth lyuynge creatures in their kyndes: catell and wormes & beastes of the erth in their kyndes, & so it came to passe. 25 And God made the beastes of the erth in their kyndes, and catell in their kyndes, & al maner wormes of the erth in their kyndes: & God saw that it was good. 26 And God sayde: let vs make man in oure similitude & after our lycknesse: that he may haue rule ouer the fysh of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, & ouer catell, and ouer all the erth, and ouer all wormes that crepe on the erth. 27 And God created man after hys likenes, after the lycknesse of god created he hym: male & female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, & God sayde vnto them: Growe and multiplye & fyl the erth, & subdue it, & haue dominion ouer the fyshes of the sea, and ouer the foules of the ayre, and ouer al the beastes that moue on the erth. 29 And God sayde: see, I haue geuen you al herbes that sowe seed, whyche are on all the erth, & all maner trees that haue frute in them and sowe seed: to be meate for you 30 and for al beastes of the erth, and vnto all foules of the ayre, and vnto all that crepeth on the erth, where in is lyfe, that they maye haue all maner herbes and grasse for to eate, and euen so it was. 31 And God behelde all that he had made, and loo, they were exceadinge good: & so of the euenynge and mornyng was made the syxte daye.
