⁹ And ther was a certaine man called Simon, which before tyme in the same citye, vsed wytchcraft and bewitched the people of Samarye, sayinge that he was a man that coulde do greate thinges. ¹⁰ Whom they regarded, from the lest to the greatest, saiyng: this felow is the great power of God. ¹¹ And hym they set much by: because that of long tyme he had mocked them with sorcery. ¹² But assone as they beleued Philippes preachinge of the kyngedome of God and of the name of Iesu Christe, they were baptysed both men and women. ¹³ Then Symon hym selfe beleued also, and was baptysed, and continued wyth Philip, and woundred beholdinge the miracles & signes whiche were shewed.

¹⁴ For they are the spirites of deuils working miracles to go out vnto the kinges of the earth, & to the whole worlde to gather them to the batayle of the greate daye of God almighty.

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

²⁷ If there be a man or woman that worketh with a spryte or that expoundeth tokens they shall dye for it. Men shall stone them wyth stones, & their bloud shalbe vpon them.

¹⁰ Let ther not be founde among you that maketh hys sonne or daughter to go thorow the fyre, or that vseth withcrafte, or a choser out of dayes or that regardeth the flieng of foules, ¹¹ or a sorcerar, or a charmar, or that counceleth with spretes, or a propheciar or that asketh the aduyse of the dead, ¹² for al that do such thyngs are abhominacion vnto the Lorde: and because of these abhominacions the Lord thy God doeth cast them out before the,

³¹ Turne not to them that work wyth spyrytes, nether regarde them that obserue dysemall dayes: that ye be not defyled by them, for I am the lord youre God.

⁶ If any soule turne him to enchaunters or expounders of tokens and goo a whooryng after them, I wyl put my face vpon that soule & wyll destroy him from among his people.
