⁸ The Lorde maketh the seuen starres and the Dryons, he turneth the nighte into daye, and of the daye he maketh darcknesse. He calleth the waters of the sea, and poureth them oute vpon the playne grounde: the Lorde is hys name:

¹⁶ For God so loueth the worlde, that he hath geuen his only sonne, that none that beleue in him, should perishe: but should haue euerlastinge lyfe.

³⁰ And the tyme of thys ignoraunce God regarded not. But now he byddeth all men euerye where repent,

⁹ euen hym whose commynge is by the workynge of Sathan, with all liynge power, signes and wonders:

⁹ If we knowledge oure sinnes, he is faythfull and iust, to forgeue vs our sinnes, and to clense vs from al vnrightuousnes.

¹³ Thou haste hytherto had manye councels of them, so let the heauengasers & the beholders of starres come on now and delyuer the: yea & let them shewe, when these new thynges shal come vpon the. ¹⁴ Beholde, they shalbe lyke strawe, whiche yf it be kindled with fyre, no man may rydde it for the vehemence of the flame: And yet it geueth no synners to warme a man by, nor cleare fyre to sit by.

¹⁴ But strayt is the gate, and narrowe is the waye which leadeth vnto lyfe: & feawe there be that fynde it.

¹⁷ And this was knowen to al the Iewes and Grekes also, which dwelt at Ephesus, and feare came on them al, and they magnified the name of the Lord Iesus. ¹⁸ And many that beleued, came and confessed, and shewed their workes. ¹⁹ Manye of them, whiche vsed curious craftes, broughte their bokes and burned them before al men, and they counted the price of them, & founde it fyfty thousand syluerlinges.

¹⁷ So then fayth cometh by the worde of God.

¹² For we wrestle not againste fleshe and bloude: but against rule, agaynst power, and againste worldlye rulers of the darckenes of thys worlde, againste spyrytuall wickednes, for heauenly thynges.

¹⁹ Yea, & least thou lyfte vp thyne eye vnto heauen, & when thou seist the sunne and the mone and the starres and whatsoeuer is contained in heauen, shouldest be deceyued and shouldest bowe thy selfe to them and serue the thynges whych the Lord thy God hathe distributed vnto all nations that are vnder al quarters of heauen.

⁹ When thou arte in to the lande whyche the Lorde thy God geueth the, se that thou lerne not to do after the abhominacions of these nacyons. ¹⁰ Let ther not be founde among you that maketh hys sonne or daughter to go thorow the fyre, or that vseth withcrafte, or a choser out of dayes or that regardeth the flieng of foules, ¹¹ or a sorcerar, or a charmar, or that counceleth with spretes, or a propheciar or that asketh the aduyse of the dead, ¹² for al that do such thyngs are abhominacion vnto the Lorde: and because of these abhominacions the Lord thy God doeth cast them out before the,

¹⁹ And therfore yf they saye vnto you: aske councel at the sothesayers, wytches, charmers and coniurers, then make them thys answere: Is there a people any where, that asketh not councel at his God, whether it be concerning the deade, or the lyuynge?
