⁴¹ And whosoeuer shall geue you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake, because ye belonge to Christe, verelye I saye vnto you, he shall not lowse his rewarde.

² And the people of the countrey shewed vs no lytel kyndnes: for they kindled a fyre, and receiued vs euery one, because of the presente rayne, and because of the colde.

²³ And what soeuer ye do, do it hertelye as though ye dyd it to the Lord, and not vnto men ²⁴ for as muche as ye know that of the Lorde ye shall receiue the reward of inheritaunce, for ye serue the Lorde Christ.

¹⁰ and well reported of in good workes: yf she haue nouryshed chyldren, yf she haue bene lyberall to straungers, yf she haue washed the saynctes fete, yf she haue mynystred vnto them whiche were in aduersitie, yf she were contynually geuen vnto all maner good workes.

² Yea and a bishop muste be fautlesse the husband of one wyfe, sober discrete, hone style apparelled, harberous, apt to teache,

⁷ wyth good wyll seruynge the Lorde, & not men.

² that ye receyue her in the Lorde as it becommeth saynctes, & that ye assiste her in whatsoeuer busynes she neadeth of youre ayde. For she hath suckered many, & myne owne selfe also.

¹² Then sayde he also to hym that had desyered hym to dyner. When thou makest a dyner or a supper: call not thy frendes, nor thy brethren, neyther thy kynsmen nor yet ryche neyghboures: least they byd the agayne, and a recompence be made the. ¹³ But when thou makest a feaste, call the poore the maymed, the lame, and the blynde, ¹⁴ & thou shalte be happy, for they can not recompence the. But thou shalte be recompensed at the resurreccyon of the iust men.

⁸ but herberous one that loueth goodnes, sober mynded, ryghtuous, holy temperate,

³⁴ But let the straunger that dwelleth wyth you, be as one of youre selues, & loue hym as thy selfe, for ye were straungers in the lande of Egypt. I am the Lorde your God.

³⁴ Then shal the kinge saye to them on his right hand. Come ye blessed chyldren of my father, enheryte ye the kingdome prepared for you from the begynninge of the worlde. ³⁵ For I was an hungred & ye gaue me meate. I thirsted and ye gaue me drinke. I was herbourles and ye lodged me. I was naked and ye clothed me. ³⁶ I was sycke and ye visyted me. I was in pryson and ye came vnto me. ³⁷ Then shal the rightuous aunswere him sayinge, maister, when sawe we the an houngred, & fede the, or a thyrst, & gaue the drinke ³⁸ when sawe we the herborles, and lodged the? or naked and clothed the? ³⁹ or when sawe we the syke or in pryson and came vnto the? ⁴⁰ And the kinge shall aunswere and saye vnto theym: verelye I saye vnto you: in as much as ye haue done it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye haue done it vnto me. ⁴¹ Then shall the kinge saye vnto them that shalbe on the lyfte hande. Departe from me ye cursed, into euerlastinge fyre, which is prepared for the deuyll and hys angels. ⁴² For I was an hungred and ye gaue me no meate, I thyrsted and ye gaue me no drynke, ⁴³ I was herbourles, and ye lodged me not, I was naked and ye clothed me not, I was sicke and in pryson, and ye vysited me not. ⁴⁴ Then shal they answere him, sayinge: mayster when sawe we the an hungred, or a thyrst or herbourles, or naked, or sicke, or in pryson, and dyd not minister vnto the. ⁴⁵ Then shall he answere them, and saye: Verelye I saye vnto you, in as much as ye dyd it not to one of these little ones: ye dyd it not vnto me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go into euerlasting payne. And the righteouse into lyfe eternall.

¹³ Distribute vnto the necessitie of the Saynctes, and be diligente to harboure.

⁹ Be ye herberous one to another, & that without grudginge.

² Be not forgetfull to lodge straungers. For therebye haue diuers receyued Angels into theyr houses vnwares.
