²³ The Lorde ordreth a good mans goynge, and hath pleasure in hys waye. ²⁴ Though he fall, he shall not be hurte, for the Lorde vpholdeth him with his hande.

⁹ A man deuyseth awaye in his herte, but it is the Lorde that ordreth hys goynges.

¹⁴ Where no good counsail is there the people decaye: but where as many are that can geue counsayll, there is wealth.

⁶ If thou teachest a child in his youth what waye he shuld go, he shal not leaue it when he is old

¹¹ The Lord shal euer be thy gyde, and satisfye the desire of thyne herte, and fyl thy bones with marye. Thou shalt be like a freshwatred garden, and lyke the founteyne of water, that neuer leaueth running.

⁵ Yf anye of you lacke wysedome, let hym axe of God whiche geueth to all men indyfferentlye, and casteth no man in the teath: and it shal be geuen hym. ⁶ But let hym axe it in faith and wauer not. For he that doubteth is lyke the waues of the sea, toste of the wyndes & caried wyth vyolence. ⁷ Neyther let that man thynke that he shal receyue any thynge of the Lorde. ⁸ A waueryng mynded man is vnstable in all hys wayes.

¹ Ye beloued, beleue not euery spirite, but proue the spirites whether they be of God, or not, for manye false prophetes are gone out into the world.

⁴ Shewe me thy wayes, O Lord, & teach me thy pathes. ⁵ Lede me in thy trueth and learne me, for thou art the God of my healthe, and in the is my hope al the day long.

²⁶ But that comforter whiche is the holy ghost (whome my father wil send in my name) he shal teache you all thinges, & brynge all thynges to youre remembraunce whatsoeuer I haue tolde you.

¹⁰⁵ Nun. Thy woorde is a lanterne vnto my fete and a light vnto my pathes.

⁷ Axe and it shalbe geuen you. Seke and ye shall fynde. Knocke & it shalbe opened vnto you. ⁸ For whosoeuer axeth receyueth, and he that seketh fyndethe, and to hym that knocketh, it shalbe opened. ⁹ Ys there any man amonge you whiche if his sonne axed hym bread, would offer him a stone? ¹⁰ Or if he axed fyshe, woulde he profer him a serpente? ¹¹ Yf ye then whyche are euyll, can geue to youre chyldren good gyftes: howe muche more shall your father whiche is in heauen, geue good thinges to them that axe hym?

¹³ Howe be it when he is come (I meane the spirite of truth) he wyll lead you into all truth. He shall not speake of hym self, but whatsoeuer he shal heare, that shall he speake, and he wyll shewe you thynges to come.

⁸ I wyl enforme the, and shew the the waie wherin thou shalt go I wyll fasten myne eyes vpon the.

⁵ Put thy trust in the Lord wyth all thyne hert, and leane not vnto thyne own vnderstandinge. ⁶ In all thy wayes haue respecte vnto hym, & he shal ordre thy goinges.
