²⁸ Then loke what thou takest in hand he shall make it to prospere with the, and the light shall shyne in thy wayes.

³ thou hast cryed vnto me, and I haue hearde the: I haue shewed greate and hye thinges, whiche were vnknowen vnto you.

¹ The hande of the Lord came vpon me, & caryed me out in the sprete of the Lorde, & let me downe in a playne felde that laye full of bones, ² and he led me rounde aboute by them: & beholde, the bones that laye vpon the felde, were very many, and maruelous drye also. ³ Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man: thinkest thou these bones maye lyue agayne? I answered: O Lorde God, thou knowest. ⁴ And he sayde vnto me: prophecye thou vpon these bones, & speake vnto them: Ye drye bones, heare the worde of the Lorde. ⁵ Thus sayeth the Lorde God vnto these bones: Beholde, I wyll put breth into you, that ye maye lyue: ⁶ I wyll geue yow synowes, and make flesh grow vpon you, & couer you ouer with skinne: & so geue you breth, that ye may lyue, and knowe, that I am the Lorde. ⁷ So I prophecyed, as he had commaunded me. And as I was prophecyinge there came a noyse and a greate mocyon, so that the bones ranne euery one to another. ⁸ Now when I had loked, beholde, they had synowes, and flesh grewe vpon them: and aboue they were couered with skynne, but there was no breth in them. ⁹ Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man, prophecye thou towarde the wynde: prophecy, & speake to the wynd: Thus sayeth the Lord God: Come (O thou ayre) from the foure wyndes, and blowe vpon these slayne, that they maye be restored to lyfe. ¹⁰ So I prophecied, as he had commaunded me: then came the breth into them, & they receyued lyfe, & stode vp vpon their fete, a maruelous greate sorte. ¹¹ Moreouer, he sayde vnto me: Thou sonne of man, these bones are the whole house of Israell. Beholde, they saye: Oure bones are dryed vp, oure hope is gone, we are clene cut of. ¹² Therfore prophecye thou, & speake vnto them: thus sayeth the Lord God: Beholde, I wyll open youre graues (O my people) & take you out of youre sepulcres, & bringe you in to the lande of Israel agayne. ¹³ So shall ye know that I am the Lorde, when I open your graues, & bringe you out of them. ¹⁴ My sprete also wyll I put in you, & ye shall lyue: I wyll set you agayne in youre owne lande, and ye shal knowe, that I am the Lord, which haue sayd it, and fulfylled it in dede. ¹⁵ The worde of the Lorde came vnto me, sayinge: ¹⁶ thou sonne of man, take a stycke and wryte vpon it: Vnto Iuda & to the chyldren of Israel his companyons. Then take another sticke, & write vpon it: Vnto Ioseph the stock of Ephraim, & to all the housholde of Israell his companyons. ¹⁷ And then, take both these together in thyne hande, so shall there be one stycke therof. ¹⁸ Now yf the chyldren of thy people saye vnto the: wylt thou not shewe vs, what thou meanest by these? ¹⁹ Then geue them this answere: thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll take the stock of Ioseph, which is in the hande of Ephraim & of the tribes of Israell his felowes, & will put them to the stock of Iuda, & make them one stocke, & they shall be one in my hande. ²⁰ And the two styckes where vpon thou wrytest, shalt thou haue in thyne hande, that they may se, ²¹ and shalt saye vnto them. Thus sayeth the Lorde God: beholde, I wyll take awaye the chyldren of Israel from amonge the Heathen vnto whom they be gone, & wyll gather them together on euery syde, & bringe them agayne into their owne lande: ²² yee I wyll make one people of them in the lande, vpon the mountaynes of Israell, and they all shall haue but one kynge. They shall no mor be two peoples from henceforth, nether be deuyded in to two kyngdomes: ²³ they shall also defile them selues nomore with their abhomynacyons, Idoles, & all their wicked doinges. I will helpe them out of all their dwellinge places, wherin they haue synned: and will so clense them: that they shalbe my people, & I their God. ²⁴ Dauid my seruaunt shalbe their kinge, & they all shal haue one shepherde onely. They shall walke in my lawes, & my commaundementes shall they both kepe and fulfil. ²⁵ They shal dwel in the lande, that I gaue vnto Iacob my seruaunt, where as youre fathers also haue dwelt. Yea, euen in the same lande shall they, their chyldren, & their childers chyldren dwell for euermore: and my seruaunt Dauid shalbe their euerlastinge prince. ²⁶ Moreouer, I will make a bonde of peace wyth theym, whiche shalbe vnto them an euerlastinge couenaunt. I will satle them also, and multiply them, my Sanctuary wyll I set amonge them for euermore. ²⁷ My dwellynge shalbe wyth them, yea, I will be their God, and they shal be my people. ²⁸ Thus the Heathen also shall knowe, that I the Lorde am the holy maker of Israel: when my Sanctuary shalbe among them for euermore.

³⁵ Heauen & earth shal perishe, but my wordes shal abide.

²³ Verelye I saye vnto you, that whosoeuer shall saye to thys mountayne: take awaye thy selfe, and caste thy selfe into the sea, and shall not wauer in hys herte, but shall beleue that those thynges whiche he sayeth, shall come to passe, whatsoeuer he sayeth, shalbe done to hym.

¹² For the word of God is quicke and myghty in operacion, and sharper then anye two edged swerde, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding a sonder of the soule and the spirite, and of the ioyntes and the marie, and iudgeth the thoughtes and the ententes of the herte:

²⁰ Vnto hym that is able to do excedinge aboundantly aboue all that we are or thinke, accordinge to the power that worketh in vs,

¹⁹ My God fulfill youre nedes thorowe hys gloriouse ryches in Iesus Christ.

¹⁴ Euen so shall the knowledge of wysedome be vnto thy soule, as soone as thou hast gotten it. And there is good hope, yea thy hope shall not be in vanyte.

²⁸ Come vnto me all ye that labour and are laden and I wyll ease you.

⁸ I wyll shewe the, O man, what is good, & what the Lorde requyreth of the: Namely, to do right, to haue pleasure in louynge kyndnesse, to be lowlye, and to walcke wyth thy God:

⁸ God is able to make you ryche in al grace that ye in al thynges hauyng suffycyent vnto the vttermoste, maye be ryche vnto all maner good workes,

⁷ Aboue all thynge be strong and harden thy selfe, to obserue & to do, accordynge to all the lawes which Moses my seruaunt commaunded the. Tourne there from nether to the ryght hand nor to the lefte: that thou mayest haue vnderstandynge in all thou takest in hande ⁸ let not the boke of thys lawe departe out of thy mouthe: But recorde therein daye & night that thou mayest be circumspect to do accordyng to all that is wrytten therein. For then shalt thou make thy waye prosperouse, & then thou shalt haue vnderstandyng. ⁹ Beholde, I haue sayde vnto the, be strong and bolde: neyther feare, nor dreade. For the Lorde thy God is with the whether soeuer thou goest. ¹⁰ Then Iosua commaunded the offycers of the people, saying: ¹¹ Go thorow the myddes of the hoste, and commaunde the people, saying: prepare you vytales: for after thre dayes ye shall passe ouer thys Iordan, to go and enioy the lande whiche the Lorde your God geueth you, to possesse it. ¹² And vnto the Rubenites, Gadites, and halfe the trybe of Manasses spake Iosua, sayinge: ¹³ Remember that whiche Moses the seruaunt of the Lorde commaunded you, sayinge. The Lorde your God hath geuen you reast, & hath geuen you thys lande. ¹⁴ Let youre wyues, youre chyldren, and youre catell remayne in the lande which Moses gaue you on thys syde Iordan: But go ye before youre brethren Armyd, all that be men of warre, & helpe them ¹⁵ vntyll the Lorde haue geuen your brethren reast, as he hath you, and vntyll they also haue obtayned, the lande which the Lord youre God geueth them. And then retourne vnto the lande of youre possessyon and enioy it, which lande Moses the Lordes seruaunte gaue you on thys syde Iordan towarde the sunne rysynge. ¹⁶ And they aunswered Iosua sayinge: All that thou byddest vs, we wyll do, and whether soeuer thou sendest vs, we wyll go.

⁵ And he gaue heede vnto them, trustynge to receyue somethinge of them.

⁶ Be not carefull: but in all thinges shewe your petition vnto God in prayer and supplication, wyth geuinge of thankes.

²⁰ as I hertely loke for and hope that in nothinge I shalbe ashamed, but that wyth all confydence as alwayes in tymes paste, euen so nowe Christe shall be magnyfyed in my bodye, whether it be thorowe lyfe, or else death.

⁵ Neuerthelesse, my soule abideth only vpon God, for he is my God.

¹⁸ for the ende is not yet come & thy pacient abydyng shal not be in vaine.

²⁸ The paciente abydynge of the rightuous shalbe turned to gladness, but the hope of the vngodli shal perish.

¹¹ For I knowe what I haue deuysed for you sayeth the Lorde. My thoughtes are to geue you peace, and not trouble (whiche I geue you all redye) & that ye might haue hope agayn.
