²⁷ and for thys ladde I praied, & the Lorde hath geuen me my desyre which I asked of him: ²⁸ & therfor I also lend him the Lord, as long as he may be lent the Lorde. And so they prayed there vnto the Lord.

¹¹ and vowed a vowe and said: Lord of hostes, yf thou wylt loke on the wretchednesse of thyne handmayde, and shalt remembre me, and not forget thyne handmayde, & shalte geue vnto thyne handmayde a manchylde I wyll geue him vnto the Lord, all the dayes of hys lyfe, & there shal neyther raser or sheres come vpon hys heade.

⁸ I wyl enforme the, and shew the the waie wherin thou shalt go I wyll fasten myne eyes vpon the.

²² And when the tyme of their puryfycacion (after the lawe of Moyses) was come, they brought him to Ierusalem, to presente hym to the Lorde

¹⁶ Are ye not ware that ye are the temple of God, and how that the spyryte of God dwelleth in you? ¹⁷ Yf anye man defyle the temple of God him shall God destroy. For the temple of God is holy, whyche temple ye are.

¹² Here is the pacience of saynctes. Here are they that kepe the commaundementes & the fayth of Iesu.

²⁸ Notwythstandynge no dedicated thynge that a man dedycateth vnto the Lorde, of all his good whether it be man or beast or lande of his enheritaunce, shalbe solde or redemed for all dedicate thynges are moste holy vnto the Lorde.

²⁷ And in the dedycacyon of the wall at Ierusalem, were the Leuytes soughte oute of all theyr places, that they myghte be broughte to Ierusalem, to kepe the dedicacyon and gladnesse, with thankesgeuynges, wyth syngyng with Cymbales, Psalteries and harpes. ²⁸ And the chyldren of the syngers gathered them selues together from the playne countreye aboute Ierusalem, and from the vyllages of Nethophathi, ²⁹ and from the house of Galgal, and out of the feldes of Geba and Asmaueth: for the syngers had buylded them vyllages aboute Ierusalem. ³⁰ And the priestes and Leuytes puryfyed them selues, and clensed the people, the gates and the wall. ³¹ And I caused the princes of Iuda to go vp vpon the wall, and appoynted two greate queers of thankesgeuynge, whiche wente on the ryghte hande of the wall towarde the Dong gate, ³² and after them wente Hosaiah, and half of the princes of Iuda, ³³ & Asaria, Esdras, Mosolam ³⁴ Iuda, Ben Iamin, Semeiah and Ieremy, ³⁵ and certayne of the priestes chyldren wyth trompettes, namely Zachary the sonne of Ionathan, the sonne of Semeiah, the sonne of Mathaniah, the sonne of Michaiah, the sonne of Zecur, the sonne of Asaph, ³⁶ and hys brethren, Semeiah, Asarael, Melalai, Galalai, Maai Nathanael and Iuda and Hanani, wyth the musicall instrumentes of Dauid the man of God. And Esdras the Scrybe before them, ³⁷ towarde the wellgate, and they went vp ouer agaynste them vpon the steppes of the cytie of Dauid at the goynge vp of the wall to the house of Dauid, vnto the watergate Eastewarde. ³⁸ The other queer of thankesgeuynge went ouer agaynste them, and I after them, & the halfe parte of the people vpon the wall, towarde the Fornacegate vpwarde, vntyll the brode wall, ³⁹ and to the porte of Ephraim, and to the oldegate, and to the Fyshgate, and to the tower of Hananeel, and to the tower of Meah, vntyll the shepegate. And in the presongate stode they styll, ⁴⁰ and so stode the two queers of thankesgeuynge of the house of God, and I and the halfe of the rulers wyth me, ⁴¹ and the priestes, namelye Eliakim, Maasiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zachary, Hananiah with trompettes, ⁴² and Maasiah Semeiah, Eleasar, Vrsi, Iehohanan, Melchiah, Elam and Ser. And the syngers sang loud & Iestahiah was the ouerseer. ⁴³ And the same daye were there greate sacrifyces offered, and they reioysed: for God had geuen them greate gladnesse, so that both the wyues & chyldren were ioyfull, & the myrthe of Ierusalem was hearde farre of.

² My brethren, count it excedyng ioye when ye fal into dyuers temptacyons, ³ for as muche as ye knowe howe that the triynge of youre fayth bryngeth pacience: ⁴ and let pacyence haue her perfect worke, that ye maye be perfecte and sounde, lackynge nothynge.

¹ O blessed is the man, that goeth not in the counsayll of the vngodly: that abydeth not in the waie of sinners and sitteth not in the seate of the scorneful. ² But deliteth in the lawe of the Lord, and exercyseth hym self in hys lawe, bothe daye and nyght. ³ Suche a man is lyke a tree planted by the watersyde, that bringeth forthe hys frute in due season. His leaues shall not fall af, & loke whatsoeuer he doth, it shall prospere. ⁴ As for the vngodly, it is not so with them but they are lyke the dust, wych the wynde scatered awaye from the grounde. ⁵ Thefore the vngodly shall not be able to stande in the iudgement, nether the synners in the congregacyon of the ryghtuous. ⁶ For the Lorde aloweth the waye of the righteous, but the waye of the vngodly shal peryshe.

¹³ Wherfore gyrde vp the loynes of youre myndes, be sober, and trust perfectelye on the grace that is broughte vnto you, by the declarynge of Iesus Christe,

¹ I beseche you therfore brethren, by the mercyfulnes of God, that ye make your bodyes a quicke sacrifyce holye and acceptable vnto God, which is youre reasonable seruynge of God: ² And fashyon not youre selues lyke vnto thys worlde. But be ye chaunged in youre shape, by the renuynge of youre wyttes, that ye may fele what thynge that good, that acceptable, and perfect wyll of God is.

¹⁷ And all thinges (whatsoeuer ye do in word or dede) do it in the name of the Lorde Iesu geuinge thankes to God the father by hym.
