²³ Then sayde Adam: This is once bone of my bones, & flesh of my flesh. This shal be called woman: because she was take of the man.

²⁵ And Ioseph toke an ooth of the chyldren of Israel and sayd: God wyl not fayle but vpset you: se therfore that ye cary my boones hence.

⁸ Thy handes haue made me, and fashoned me altogether roundabout wilt thou then destroye my sodenlye? ⁹ O remembre (I beseke the) how that thou madest me of the mould of the earth, and shalt bring me to earth agayne. ¹⁰ Hast thou not milked me, as it were milck: and turned me to cruddes lyke chese? ¹¹ Thou hast couered me wyth skynne and fleshe, and ioyned me together wyth bones & synowes. ¹² Thou hast graunted me life, & done me good and the diligent hede that thou tokeste vpon me, hath preserued my sprite.

¹⁹ And Moses toke the bones of Ioseph with him for he made the chyldren of Israel swere sayinge: God wyll surely vyset you, take my bones therfore awaye hence wt you.

²⁰ He kepeth all their bones, so that not one of them is broken.

⁸ so shall thy nauell be whole, & thy bones strong.

¹⁸ His shynnes are lyke pypes of brasse, hys rygge bones are lyke staues of yron.

⁸ Oh let me heare of ioye & gladnesse, that the bones which thou hast broken, maye reioyse.

³⁰ A merye hert is the life of the bodye, but rancoure consumeth awaye the bones.

²⁴ Fayre wordes are an hony combe, a refreshynge of the mynde, and helth of the bones.

⁷ Be not wyse in thyne own conceyte, but feare the Lord, & departe from euell: ⁸ so shall thy nauell be whole, & thy bones strong.

¹² For the word of God is quicke and myghty in operacion, and sharper then anye two edged swerde, and entreth through, euen vnto the diuiding a sonder of the soule and the spirite, and of the ioyntes and the marie, and iudgeth the thoughtes and the ententes of the herte:

³⁰ Lyke as the clearenesse of the eyes reioiseth the herte so doth a good name fede the bones.

¹ The hande of the Lord came vpon me, & caryed me out in the sprete of the Lorde, & let me downe in a playne felde that laye full of bones, ² and he led me rounde aboute by them: & beholde, the bones that laye vpon the felde, were very many, and maruelous drye also. ³ Then sayde he vnto me: Thou sonne of man: thinkest thou these bones maye lyue agayne? I answered: O Lorde God, thou knowest. ⁴ And he sayde vnto me: prophecye thou vpon these bones, & speake vnto them: Ye drye bones, heare the worde of the Lorde. ⁵ Thus sayeth the Lorde God vnto these bones: Beholde, I wyll put breth into you, that ye maye lyue:

²² A merye hert maketh a lusty age, but a sorowful mind dryeth vp the bones.
