¹³ Let hym refrayne his tonge from euell, & hys lyppes that they speake no gyle.

¹⁶ For God so loueth the worlde, that he hath geuen his only sonne, that none that beleue in him, should perishe: but should haue euerlastinge lyfe. ¹⁷ For God sent not his sonne into the world, to condempne the worlde: but that the world through him, might be saued.

¹⁵ Moreouer, if thy brother trespase agaynst the, Go and tell hym hys fault betwene hym and the alone. If he heare the, thou hast wonne thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he heare the not, then take yet with the one or two, that in the mouthe of two or thre witnesses, all thynges may be stablished. ¹⁷ If he heare not them, tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not the congregacion, take hym as a Heathen man, & as a publican.

¹ Howe dare one of you hauynge busines wyth another, go to law vnder the wycked, and not rather vnder the sainctes? ² Do ye not knowe that the sainctes shall iudge the worlde? Yf the world shal be iudged by you: are ye not good ynoughe to iudge smal tryfles: ³ know ye not how that we shal iudge the aungels? Howe much more maye we iudge thinges that pertayne to the lyfe? ⁴ Yf ye haue iudgementes of worldlye matters, take them whiche are despised in the congregacion, and make them iudges. ⁵ Thys I saye to youre shame. Is there vtterlye no wyse man amonge you. What, not one at al, that can iudge betwene brother and brother, ⁶ but one brother goeth to lawe with another, and that vnder the vnbeleuers? ⁷ Nowe therfore, there is vtterlye a faute amonge you, because ye go to law one wyth another. Why rather suffer ye not wronge? Why rather suffre ye not youre selues to be robbed? ⁸ naye, ye youre selues do wronge, and robbe: and that the brethren. ⁹ Do ye not remembre, howe that the vnrightuous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceyued. For neither fornicatours, neither worshipers of ymages, neither whormongers, neyther weaklinges, neither abusers of them selues wyth the mankynde, ¹⁰ neither theues, neythe couetous, neither dronkardes, neither cursed speakers, neither pyllars, shall inherete the kyngedome of God. ¹¹ And suche were ye verelye, but ye are washed, ye are sanctifyed, ye are iustifyed by the name of the Lorde Iesus, and by the spyryte of our God. ¹² All thinges are lawfull vnto me: but all thinges are not profitable. I may do all thynges, but I wil be brought vnder no mans power, ¹³ Meates are ordeyned for the belly, and the belly for meates, but God shall destroye both it and them. Let not the bodye be applied vnto fornication, but vnto the Lorde, and the Lorde vnto the body. ¹⁴ God hath raysed vp the Lorde, and shal rayse vs vp by his power. ¹⁵ Either remembre ye not, that youre bodyes are the membres of Christe, shal I now take the membres of Christ, and make them the membres of an harlotte? God forbid. ¹⁶ Do ye not vnderstande, that he whiche coupleth him selfe with an harlot, is become one body? For two (sayth he) shalbe one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is ioyned vnto the Lorde, is one spyryte. ¹⁸ Fle fornycatyon. Al synnes that a man doth, are without the body. But he that is a fornicatour, sinneth agaynst his owne bodye. ¹⁹ Either knowe ye not howe that youre bodies are the temple of the holye ghoste, whyche is in you, whome ye haue of God, and how that ye are not your owne? ²⁰ For ye are dearlye boughte. Therfore glorifye ye God in youre bodyes, and in youre spyrytes, for they are Goddes.

¹ My lytle chyldren, these thinges wryte I vnto you, that ye sinne not, yf anye man synne, yet we haue an aduocate with the father, Iesus Christe, whiche is rightuouse, ² and he it is that obtayned grace for our sinnes, not for oure sinnes onelye, but also for the synnes of al the worlde. ³ And herby we are sure that we knowe him, yf we kepe his commaundementes. ⁴ He that sayth I knowe him, and kepeth not his commaundementes, is a liar, and the veritie is not in him. ⁵ Whosoeuer kepeth his worde, in him is the loue of God, perfecte in dede. And there by knowe we that we are in him. ⁶ He that sayeth he abydeth in him ought to walke euen as he walked. ⁷ Brethren I wryte no newe commaundemente vnto you, but that olde commaundemente, which ye hearde from the beginning. ⁸ The olde commandement is the word, which ye heard from the beginninge. Againe a new commaundement I write vnto you, a thinge that is true in him, and also in you, for the darkenes is past, and the true light now shineth. ⁹ He that sayeth how that he is in the light, and yet hateth his brother, is in dackenes euen vntill this tyme. ¹⁰ He that loueth his brother, abideth in the lyghte, and there is none occasion of euill in him. ¹¹ He that hateth his brother, is in darckenes and walketh in darckenes, and can not tell whether he goeth, because that darckenes hath blinded his eyes. ¹² Babes I wryte vnto you, how that youre sinnes are forgeuen you for his names sake. ¹³ I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye know him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you yong men, how that ye haue ouercome the wicked. I write to you lytel children, howe that ye knowe the father, ¹⁴ I wryte vnto you fathers, how that ye knowe him, that was from the beginninge. I wryte vnto you young men, how that ye are stronge and the word of God abyeth in you, & ye haue ouercome that wycked. ¹⁵ Se that ye loue not the world, neyther the thynges that are in the worlde. Yf anye man loue the worlde the loue of the father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world (as the luste of the fleshe, the lust of the eyes, and the pryde of goodes) is not of the father, but of the world. ¹⁷ And the world vanysheth away, and the lust therof, but he that fulfilleth the will of God, abideth euer. ¹⁸ Litel chyldren, it is the last time, and as ye haue hearde how that Antichriste shall come, euen nowe are there many Antichristes come alredye. Wherby we knowe that it is the last tyme. ¹⁹ They went out from vs, but they were not of vs. For yf they had bene of vs: they woulde no doubte, haue continued wyth vs. But that fortuned, that it myghte appeare, that they were not of vs. ²⁰ And ye haue an oyntment of the holye ghost and ye knowe all thinges. ²¹ I wrote not vnto you, as though ye knewe not the trueth, but as though ye knewe it, and knowe also that no lye commeth of trueth. ²² Who is a liar but he that denyeth that Iesus is Christ? The same is the Antechrist that denyeth the father and the sonne. ²³ Whosoeuer denyeth the sonne, the same hath not the father. ²⁴ Let therfore abyde in you that same, whiche ye hearde from the beginninge, shall remaine in you, ye also shal continue in the sonne, and in the father. ²⁵ And this is the promes, that he hath promysed vs euen eternal lyfe. ²⁶ This haue I written vnto you concerning them, that disceyue you. ²⁷ And the anointinge, whiche ye haue receiued of him, dwelleth in you. And ye nede not that anye man teache you, but as the anointing teacheth you al thinges, and is true, and is no lye, & it is taught you, euen so byde therin. ²⁸ And now babes abide in him, that when he shal appeare, we maye be bolde, and not be made ashamed of him at his comming: ²⁹ If ye knowe that he is rightuous, knowe also that he whiche foloweth rightuousnes, is borne of hym.

¹⁴ Embrace peace wt all men and holynes, wythout the whiche no man shall se the Lorde. ¹⁵ And loked to, that no man be destitute of the grace of God, and that no rote of bytternes sprynge vp and trouble, and therebye manye be defyled,

²⁵ But Iesus knewe their thoughtes, and sayed to them. Euery Kingdome deuided within it selfe, shall be brought to naught. Neyther shall anye cytye or housholde deuided against it selfe continue.

³² Be ye courteouse one to another and mercyfull, forgeuynge one another, euen as God for Christes sake forgaue you.

⁷ Beloued, let vs loue one another, for loue commeth of god. And euery one that loueth is borne of God, & knoweth God. ⁸ He that loueth not, knoweth not God: for God is loue.

³ Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym, ⁴ and yf he repent, forgeue hym. And thoughe he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a day, & seuen tymes in a day tourne agayne to the saiyng: it repenteth me, forgeue hym.

⁴ Loue suffreth longe, and is curteous. Loue enuieth not. Loue doth not frowardelye, swelleth not, dealeth not dishonestlye, ⁵ seketh not her owne, is not prouoketh to anger, thinketh not euil, ⁶ reioiceth not in iniquitie: but reioiseth in the trueth, ⁷ suffreth all thinge, beleueth all thinges, hopeth al thinges, endureth in all thinges.

²³ Therefore when thou offrest thy gift at the altare, & their remembrest that thy brother hath ought against the: ²⁴ leue there thy offringe before the altare, & go thy way first & be reconciled to thy brother, & then come and offre thy gift.

¹⁶ Knoweledge youre fautes one to another; and praye one for another, that ye maye be healed. The prayer of a ryghtuous man auayleth muche yf it be feruente.
