¹¹ Then the King came in, to visit the guests, and spied there a man which had not on a wedding garment,

¹ The Sabbath day, at even, which dawneth the morrow after the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the sepulchre. ² And behold, there was a great earthquake. For the angel of the Lord descended from heaven: and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers were astunned, and became as dead men. ⁵ The angel answered, and said to the women, "Fear ye not. I know well that ye seek Jesus which was crucified. ⁶ He is not here. He is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was put. ⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from death. And behold, he will go before you into Galilee: there ye shall see him. Lo I have told you." ⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great Joy. And did run to bring his disciples word. ⁹ And as they went to tell his disciples: behold, Jesus met them, saying, "All hail." They came and held him by the feet and worshipped him. ¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto them, "Be not afraid. Go and tell my brethren, that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me." ¹¹ When they were gone, Behold, some of the keepers came in to the city, and showed unto the high priests all the things that were happened. ¹² And they gathered them together with the elders, and took counsel, and gave large money unto the soldiers, ¹³ saying, "Say that his disciples came by night, and stole him away while ye slept." ¹⁴ And if this come to the ruler's ears, we will appease him, and save you harmless. ¹⁵ And they took the money, and did as they were taught. And this saying is noised among the Jews unto this day. ¹⁶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. ¹⁷ And when they saw him, they worshipped him. But some of them doubted. ¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, "All power is given unto me in heaven, and in earth. ¹⁹ Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and the son and the holy ghost; ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you. And lo, I am with you always even until the end of the world."

²⁴ and loosed the sorrows of death, because it was impossible that he should be holden of it. ²⁵ For David speaketh of him, 'Aforehand, saw I God always before me: For he is on my righthand, that I should not be moved. ²⁶ Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad. Moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope ²⁷ because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt suffer thine holy to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast showed me the ways of life; and shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.' ²⁹ "Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David: For he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre remaineth with us unto his day. ³⁰ Therefore seeing he was a prophet, and knew that God had sworn with an oath to him, that the fruit of his loins should sit on his seat — in that Christ should rise again in the flesh - ³¹ He saw before, and spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul should not be left in hell: neither his flesh should see corruption. ³² This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Since now that he by the righthand of God exalted is, and hath received of the father the promise of the holy ghost, he hath shed forth that which ye now see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into heaven, but he said, ³⁵ 'The Lord said to my Lord sit on my right hand, until I make thy foes, thy footstool.' ³⁶ So therefore let all the house of Israel know for a surety, that God hath made the same Jesus whom ye have crucified, Lord and Christ."

⁹ But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people, that ye should show the virtues of him that called you out of darkness into his marvelous light,

¹ And I saw a new heaven, and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth were vanished away, and there was no more sea. ² And I, John, saw that holy city, new Jerusalem, come down from God out of heaven prepared as a bride garnished for her husband. ³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God. ⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, neither crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the old things are gone.

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, "What are these which are arrayed in long white garments, and whence came they?"

¹¹ And long white garments were given unto every one of them. And it was said unto them that they should rest for a little season until the number of their fellows, and brethren, and of them that should be killed as they were, were fulfilled.

⁹ After this I beheld, and lo a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and people, and tongues, stood before the seat, and before the lamb, clothed with long white garments, and palms in their hands,

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that their power may be in the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

¹⁰ And therefore I am joyful in the LORD, and my soul rejoiceth in my God. For he shall put upon me the garment of salvation, and cover me with the mantle of righteousness. He shall deck me like a bridegroom, and as a bride that hath her apparel upon her.
