Psalms 27:1-14

1 {A Psalm of David} The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom then should I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though a host of men were laid against me, yet shall not my heart be afraid; and though there rose up war against me, yet will I put my trust in him. 4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, which I will require, even that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the fair beauty of the LORD, and to visit his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his tabernacle; yea in the secret place of his dwelling shall he hide me, and set me up upon a rock of stone. 6 And now shall he lift up mine head above mine enemies round about me. Therefore will I offer in his dwelling an oblation with great gladness; I will sing and speak praises unto the LORD. 7 Hearken unto my voice, O LORD, when I cry unto thee: have mercy upon me, and hear me. 8 My heart hath talked of thee, seek ye my face. Thy face, LORD, will I seek. 9 O hide not thou thy face from me, nor cast thy servant away in displeasure. Thou hast been my succor; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God my Saviour. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, the LORD taketh me up. 11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in the right way, because of mine enemies. 12 Deliver me not over into the will of mine adversaries; for there are false witnesses risen up against me, and such as imagine mischief. 13 I should utterly have fainted, but that I believe verily to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 O tarry thou the LORD's leisure. Be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart; and put thou thy trust in the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17

17 but all the weapons that are made against thee, shall not prosper. And as for all tongues that shall resist thee in judgment, thou shalt overcome them, and condemn them. This is the heritage of the LORD's servants, and the righteousness that they shall have of me, sayeth the LORD.

Ephesians 6:10-20

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the armour of God, that ye may stand steadfast against the crafty assaults of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood: but against rule, against power, and against worldly rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness for heavenly things. 13 For this cause, take unto you the armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand perfect in all things. 14 Stand, therefore, and your loins gird about with verity, having on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and shod with shoes prepared by the gospel of peace. 16 Above all, take to you the shield of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, 18 and pray always with all manner prayer and supplication — and that in the spirit — and watch thereunto with all instance and supplication for all saints, 19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to utter the secrets of the gospel, 20 whereof I am a messenger in bonds, that therein I may speak freely, as it becometh me to speak.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 Nevertheless, though we walk compassed with the flesh, yet we war not fleshly. 4 For the weapons of our war are not carnal things, but things mighty in God to cast down strongholds; 5 wherewith we overthrow imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity all understanding to the obedience of Christ,

Psalms 91:1-16

1 Whoso dwelleth under the defense of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say unto the LORD, "O my hope, and my stronghold; my God, in whom I will trust." 3 For he shall deliver thee from the snare of the hunter, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall defend thee under his wings, that thou mayest be safe under his feathers: his faithfulness and truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for any terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 6 for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the sickness that destroyeth in the noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall beside thee, and ten thousand at thy righthand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 8 Yea, with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the ungodly. 9 For thou, LORD, art my hope; thou hast set thine house of defense very high. 10 There shall no evil happen unto thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 12 They shall bear thee in their hands, that thou hurt not thy foot against a stone. 13 Thou shalt go upon the Lion and Adder, the young Lion and the Dragon shalt thou tread under thy feet. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him up out of all danger, for he hath known my name. 15 When he calleth upon me, I shall hear him: Yea I am with him in his trouble; whereout I will deliver him, and bring him to honour. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
