¹ Now it happened after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, that Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, ² Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I give to them, even to the sons of Israel.
³ Every place that the sole of your* foot will tread upon, to you* I have given it, as I spoke to Moses. ⁴ From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, will be your* border.
⁵ There will not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you, nor forsake you. ⁶ Be strong and of good courage, for you will cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
⁷ Only be strong and very courageous to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you. Turn not from it, neither to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.
⁸ This book of the law will not depart out of your mouth, but you will meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success.
⁹ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be frightened, neither be dismayed, for Jehovah your God is with you wherever you go.
¹⁰ Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, ¹¹ Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, Prepare food for you*, for within three days you* are to pass over this Jordan to go in to possess the land, which Jehovah your* God gives you* to possess it.
¹² And to the Reubenites and to the Gadites and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua spoke, saying, ¹³ Remember the word which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you*, saying, Jehovah your* God gives you* rest and will give you* this land. ¹⁴ Your* wives, your* little ones and your* cattle, will abide in the land which Moses gave you* beyond the Jordan, but you* will pass over before your* brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor and will help them ¹⁵ until Jehovah has given your* brothers rest, as you* and they also have possessed the land which Jehovah your* God gives them. Then you* will return to the land of your* possession and possess it, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you* beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise.
¹⁶ And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you have commanded us we will do and wherever you send us we will go. ¹⁷ Just-as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you. Only Jehovah your God be with you, as he was with Moses. ¹⁸ Whoever he is who will rebel against your commandment and will not listen to your words in all that you command him, he will be put to death. Only be strong and of good courage.

¹⁰ And David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David.

¹ Jehovah is my shepherd, I will not want. ² He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. ³ He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
⁴ Even, because I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, because you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
⁵ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup runs over.
⁶ Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of Jehovah forever.

¹² So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.

¹ Jehovah says thus, Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. What manner of house will you* build to me and what place will be my rest? ² For all these things my hand has made and all these things came to be, says Jehovah.
But to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a crushed spirit and who trembles at my word.
³ He who slaughters an ox is as he who kills a man. He who sacrifices a lamb, as he who breaks a dog's neck. He who offers an oblation, as swine's blood. He who burns frankincense, as he who graces an idol.
Yes, they have chosen their own ways and their soul delights in their abominations. ⁴ I also will choose their delusions and will bring their fears upon them. Because when I called, none answered. When I spoke, they did not hear. But they did what was evil in my eyes and chose that in which I did not delight.
⁵ Hear the word of Jehovah, you* who tremble at his word: Your* brothers who hate you*, who cast you* out for my name's sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your* joy. But it is those who will be put to shame. ⁶ A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah who renders recompense to his enemies.
⁷ Before she travailed, she brought forth. Before her pain came, she was delivered of a male-child. ⁸ Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought out at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought out her sons. ⁹ Shall I bring to the birth and not cause to bring forth? says Jehovah. Shall I who cause to bring forth shut the womb? says your God.
¹⁰ Rejoice you* with Jerusalem and be glad for her, all you* who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you* who mourn over her, ¹¹ that you* may nurse and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations, that you* may get milk out and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
¹² For Jehovah says thus, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream. And you* will nurse of it. You* will be borne upon the side and will be dandled upon the knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you* and you* will be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And you* will see and your* heart will rejoice and your* bones will flourish like the tender grass. And the hand of Jehovah will be known toward his servants and he will have indignation against his enemies.
¹⁵ For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire and his chariots will be like the whirlwind, to render his anger with fierceness and his rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶ For by fire Jehovah will execute judgment and by his sword, upon all flesh and the slain of Jehovah will be many. ¹⁷ Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, they will come to an end together, says Jehovah. ¹⁸ For I know their works and their thoughts.
The time comes, that I will gather all nations and languages and they will come and will see my glory. ¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them and I will send such as escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, who have not heard my fame, nor have seen my glory and they will declare my glory among the nations.
²⁰ And they will bring all your* brothers out of all the nations for an oblation to Jehovah, upon horses and in chariots and in litters and upon mules and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says Jehovah, as the sons of Israel bring their oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.
²¹ And of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says Jehovah. ²² For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will remain before me, says Jehovah, so will your* seed and your* name remain.
²³ And it will happen, that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before me, says Jehovah.
²⁴ And they will go forth and look upon the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me. For their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched and they will be an abhorring to all flesh.

²⁸ Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs will be hearing his voice, ²⁹ and will travel out; those who have practiced good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone who believes in him might not perish, but may have everlasting life.

¹⁶ Because the Lord himself will be coming down from heaven, in a commanding yell, in the voice of the archangel and at the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be rising up first;

¹⁶ All Scripture is God breathed and is profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for education which is in righteousness,

²¹ He who overcomes, I will be giving to him to sit with me at my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father at his throne.

²² And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved, but because of the chosen, those days will be shortened.

¹ And it happened, when all the nation was finished passing over the Jordan, that Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying, ² Take for you* twelve men out of the people, a man out of every tribe, ³ and command you* them, saying, Take for you* here out of the midst of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones and carry them over with you* and lay them down in the lodging-place where you* will lodge this night.
⁴ Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the sons of Israel, a man out of every tribe. ⁵ And Joshua said to them, Pass over before the ark of Jehovah your* God into the midst of the Jordan and take up every man of you* a stone upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel, ⁶ that this may be a sign among you*, that, when your* children ask in time to come, saying, What do you* mean by these stones? ⁷ Then you* will say to them, Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones will be for a memorial to the sons of Israel everlasting.

²⁹ Brethren, it is legal for me to speak publicly to you concerning the patriarch David, that he is both dead and was buried and his tomb is among us to this day.

¹⁷ Then he said, What monument is what I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulcher of the man of God who came from Judah and proclaimed these things that you have done against the altar of Bethel.
